This is the last thing I wanted to hear! :banghead: :screama: :banghead:And we all thought Matt Millen had something on Detroit’s owner! What the hell does Vinny have on Snyder??

Let's try & look at this on the bright side. Recently, Wilbon (who has always said the danny needs a GM) said that sometimes the Skins would've been better off had they listened to Vinny. Maybe Vinny helped find some of the relative diamonds in the rough we've gotten the last couple years.

Maybe Vinny IS the GM that so many here have been crying for! Maybe the danny is promoting him because he's going to let him do his job & not interfere (or "meddle" as the press refers to it).

I'm not worried about his promotion, only worried that it might mean GW isn't hired. Otherwise, can anyone actually say they know that Vinny is responsible for any poor decisions?

Most likely someone that gets along with Cerrato - maybe Steve Mariucci - I heard that Steve and Vinny got along when they were with the 49ers.

The only good is that the closer Vinny gets to the top , the closer he get to the door.

This means nothing. Its a title, he was assuming that role anyway.

Does this mean Greg or Jim for coach, that's all I care about.

We have done a good job w/ Vinny and don't need a GM.

Vinny Cerrato: Bump him up to a Executive VP role. He's not going anywhere so we probably shouldn't consider that option. I don't think VC does the horrible job everyone else does. But I would give him more of a hands-off big picture role now
