For Jimmy Johnson to be put into a personnel move would be a very good move. I'm thinking that he's right, all we've been looking for is a defensive coordinator

Why not introduce GW as the head coach and then let him hire the DC later? It's not like there is a rule that says that the HC and coordinators MUST be hired at the same time.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but if we're looking for a DC currently employed by another team this head coach search could be an excuse to maybe offer them a contract and see if they're interested. I don't know the rules well enough to know if this is true, but I believe it's tampering to try to hire another teams DC as your DC, but if they initiate the conversation, etc.

Nothing official yet but there's plenty of behind the scenes rumors swirling, hence the "mystery" candidate.

I think anything is possible with the mystery coach. I do agree with your logic it makes sense, because a mystery interview is probably unlikely to be a big name or it would have gotten around.

A great coach doesn't make a great team. A great coach and great players make a great team. A great team becomes great through stability, understanding, and knowledge of one another and the game..hence Greg Williams staying with the team and taking over as Head Coach. Cmon...we have had 4 different head coaches in the last 7 years all besides Joe Gibbs having no connection to our team before being named Head Coach. Gibbs put all the pieces together and I believe GW would be perfect to finish the job Coach Gibbs started. So enough with the Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson, etc. talk. Try someone close to home and see if it works. That's the best thing for the organization.
