First player that comes to mind is Cornelius Griffin. He always seems to be bothered by injuries so he never plays at 100%. We'd be just as good with Montgomery and Golston starting. Betts, Collins, Sellers, have a lot of value but we shouldn't trade them.
skinsfan69 02-20-2008, 05:40 PM Good question!!
Springs was mentioned in trade talks w/Denver last year, but I believe he only has 1 yr. left on his deal & at 7mil it isn't that enticing. I hope Springs is back here though.
Of course, last year we debated Betts' value, but I just don't see us getting enough in return for him. I'd also hate to see him go.
There's nobody I want to see traded other than Loyd, which would be a miracle if someone were to bite on. I'm sure there are a few guys we could value for, but I wonder if it would be enough to justify it.
I think the capologists are best to answer this one.
Springs at 7mil?? Ouch.
Paintrain 02-20-2008, 05:51 PM Outside of Betts, I can't see anyone we could/would deal that would garner much of a pick. We're obviously not going to trade Landry, Campbell, Cooley, Portis, Moss.. Those are probably the only players that we could get anything significant (3rd round or higher) for and they're not going anywhere.
Paintrain 02-20-2008, 05:54 PM only one i see us possiable trading is s.moss. because of his vaule ,cap # , and us looking for a more " west coast " wr. we could get an early 2nd this year and alittle something else either a 3rd or 4th this yr or next or a player. the chefs ,falcons ,raiders ,ravens ,bills and 49ers all have top 10 picks in the 2nd rnd and major need of a wr. and atleast one of thouse teams would want a proven comditte over a rookie.the bills have the 71st and 72 pick in the 3rd rnd and proberly would give on of thouse aswell. kcs been trying to dump lb k.bell and atl is trying to move deanglo hall.but of course to get hall it would proberly be moss and are 1st for hall and there 2 -or something to that affect. or the rav giving up t.suggs for moss and are 1st is another possiablity. i just think if where able to move anyone itll be moss. maybe even switching 1st rnd picks with the vikings and getting there 2nd this yr and a 3rd next.moss can be moved because of team needs ,bad free agent market on wr (r moss proberly resign and then theres b berrian and pretty much nobody)and teams getting tired of drafting a wr in the 1st rnd and them turning into bust (exspecally vik and atl). and the wr in this yrs draft class have potental bust written all over them. out of m kelly ,des jackson ,l sweed ,j hardy ,m mangim ,and e doucet (all possiable 1st rnders) ,i see half of them becoming bust. your next rashan woods ,troy edwards ,troy williamson ,charles johnson ,mike williams ,reggie williams ,sinorice moss ,ect .and if the skins really plan on bringing in a west coast wr to possiable be are #1 wr ,we cant have all that money tied up intowr and that many wr on the roster. and cant cut r el or llyod cause it would cost us to much.
Dude.. Punctuation and paragraphs are your friends.
Ruhskins 02-20-2008, 08:16 PM Redskins should've traded Brunell this past season, I think Atlanta wanted him when they were desperate for a QB after Vick was out.
tdSKINS1 02-20-2008, 08:31 PM Yep it be tough and I wouldn't want to see Moss leave
mk... trade betts, griffin, and mcintosh.
betts and mcintosh for the #1 to miami. Ricky Williams wont produce.
#1-#21
use 21 for that FS from Miami, I forget his name right now cause im smacked, but he's what that pick should be used for. use #1 for a CB, or even a WR.
Trade Griffin for an extra 2nd round.... late probably. draft o line from then on out. we still got Khary, Washington, and Fletcher. HB is going to be solid, and if Godfrey stays, we have all the depth we need at LB. We could get that #1 from Parcells for Betts and McIntosh. Everyone says Ladell isn't as productive, but Parcells is a smart guy. He would use Ladell as his work horse, and make the HC develop the offense around his running style. I know that would work, excusing all the cap stuff blazayblah...
Also, if we get a stud CB, we can hang/maim/shoot/trade/lynch Carlos Rogers. He is fast, and I'm sure someone in the league sees potential. Trade him for a pick next year, or some depth at DL.
That Guy 02-20-2008, 10:40 PM anyone with real trade value is someone you wouldn't want to trade.

hoping this isn't serious, but if you threw portis and moss in, those FOUR together wouldn't get you the #1 pick.
but while we're at it, let's trade lloyd for CJ.

I think once you get to the point where he says "right now I'm smacked" that's the cue to disregard his entire post.
