Off the record, I hear he's 99% sure this is it for him

But, this time of year everything is so unpredictable

Dungy denies report.

ESPN - Dungy denies report that he's stepping down as Colts coach - NFL (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3199685)
Denial is the first sign.

From what I understand Jim Caldwell will be a fantastic replacement, and the Colts might not miss a beat with him filling in.

But if you're right and he's gone, look at the coaches the league has lost the past two seasons: Bill Parcells, Joe Gibbs, Bill Cowher, Tony Dungy, Marty Schottenheimer...

That's quality coaching right there. It will certainly be a loss for the entire league if Dungy does retire. But he's got a SuperBowl ring (should have two, he built the team in Tampa that Gruden won with), 5 straight 12+ win seasons, lost a son to suicide, and won over the hearts of a lot of players and fans. He has nothing else to prove in my opinion. A hall of famer in football AND life.
