Green Bay can run on Seattle but we couldn't!!Campbell17 01-12-2008, 07:59 PM I was rooting for the packs today but i am pissed that our rushing hasn't been good. Green Bay is basically magical in Lambeau in the playoffs, and I've always maintained that Seattle is the complete opposite of smashmouth. That fact, combined with the weather is what killed the Seahawks today. Seattle actually doesnt play in a dome and they usually have poor weather rk3025 01-12-2008, 08:22 PM I thought we could go to the super bowl but after watching seattle no way We have a lot of needed players to move up a level Home field without noise makes coming of the ball a big help for blocking Wish the next coach well but has his hands full I think the problem is a lot of people forgot that Heyer was an undrafted rookie playing an away playoff game lined up against one of the DEs in the league. He got outplayed, no question. But we need to temper our expectations of him. Daseal 01-12-2008, 08:28 PM Im with Smootsmack -- Heyer is an undrafted rookie going against arguably a top 3DE in the NFL. All things considered, I dont know if they slid help his way or not, but things were fixed in the 2nd half. Southpaw 01-12-2008, 09:09 PM Seattle actually doesnt play in a dome and they usually have poor weather Yeah, I don't know who I was thinking about with the dome, but they're still a finesse team. And Hasselbeck is a whiner... backrow 01-12-2008, 11:19 PM It was not Heyer, but a combination of Heyer, Fabini, and the lack of O production in the first half of our game B&G vs. da-haux. GB has all players on their O-line, and the S N O W! It's like another man making you slow down a step on the D side. HOF Coach Gibbs found out afterward that you have a limited number of chances with the ball during the game. I feel it was lost in the first half. htownskinfan 01-12-2008, 11:33 PM we were lucky we were even in the seattle game,it should have been so much worse than 13-0,but hey we came back and should have won the game,I still wish someone would show me the rule that you cant advance a kcikoff when nobody touches it.Also the crowd noise in seattle has got to be no doubt the best in the league.Last week I listened to the game on the way home from work on the radio and i had to turn it up all the way to be able to hear the announcers over the crowd,I had a splitting headache by the time I got home from the crowd noise being so loud, todays greenbay game I listened to on the way home and had the volume halfway and could hear it with no problem MTRedskinsFan 01-12-2008, 11:40 PM This game has made me sick to my stomach. We could not give Portis no room to run nor protect Collins and Green Bay is making it look easy. We have to really work on our o-line first and foremost. Ryan Grant is making Seatte's run defense seem like the worst in the league. Yeah? With a washed-up backup for a right guard and an undrafted rookie for a right tackle it is no surprise we couldn't run on a playoff team. The success in the last four reg. season games had a lot to do w/ raw emotion and mixing blocking schemes. Emotion was not there for our offense in the Seattle game and their defense had studied our schemes (especially placing an extra tackle on the right side). Anyways, it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise contrasting our playoff game and the game w/ GB. Their o-line is young, healthy and playing very well. The more I think about our season, the more I hope we draft/acquire a stud right tackle AND a stud guard to backup RT and Pete. We need a line of Hogs! SmootSmack 01-12-2008, 11:43 PM I still wish someone would show me the rule that you cant advance a kcikoff when nobody touches it. A kickoff is illegal unless it travels 10 yards OR is touched by the receiving team. Once the ball is touched by the receiving team or has gone 10 yards, it is a free ball. Receivers may recover and advance. Kicking team may recover but NOT advance UNLESS receiver had possession and lost the ball.
