in a perfect world, Greg will be the head coach, keep Al as o-coord and hire schwartz as the D-cord.
Definately think, one of the key offseason moves will be keeping Buges. This guy has done so much with the O-line and the reserve o-lineman. Look at what he did when all 5 were healthy last year, incredible. we were the 5th ranked o line in the NFL. a back up RB had all most 1200 yards, and this year having 3rd string tackle, 2nd string RG and center missed a few games. incredible job by buges!!
I think we're greatly exaggerating the situation here. Hiring Schwartz or any other outsider doesn't automatically mean Armageddon. The way some people are talking a swarm of locusts is about to descend upon FedExField.
Hail to that. People are way too amped up over this.

My theory is that GW already has the nod and interviewing all others is just paying lip service to the process. don't forget the rooney rule.

I don't see Garrett coming in with Al Saunders here.
On another note, has anyone thought that perhaps GW doesn't want the head coaching job. Maybe he has aspirations elsewhere and Snyder knows that.
I dunno, it's going to be intereting to see how this thing shakes out. I hope there isn't too much change though, because that would set back the team after Gibbs has restored at least a little bit of continuity.

What exactly has Jason Garrett done? How long has he been coaching at all? 2 seasons right? He may be an up and coming talented O coordinator but what sais he's ready to coach. I don't get the love fest over him. He did a great job in Dallas this year, but a lot of o coordinators could have been successful w/ Dallas's talent. The guy needs to coach another couple years and then give it a try. Put him on the Dolphins and see what happens. I think the NFL too quickly picks their "flavor of the month." He may become a great coach who knows, but spend a couple years in coaching before we nominate him the next great thing.
I don't want another boyz guy. Period.

As much as I like Garrett I think your right. He and Saunders won't mesh together either!!! I just hope that Snyder makes the right decision.

fair enough, but I think fans have earned a right to be VERY skeptical of regime change...so far, so bad...

I think it's more Owens ability than anything else. The Cowboy offense wasn't exactly a juggernaut the last game of the season without him.
People seem to forget Parcells built the Cowboys.

It is implied that if Garrett comes in as head coach then Saunders will be unemployed. Whether they mesh or not will never come up.
I'm not sold on Garrett but I don't like the Cowboys doing well with him as OC. I almost hope the Skins hire him and sabotage the boys by making sure he doesn't come back as their OC.
Hopefully Parcells can hire Garrett so we don't have to worry about it.
