What do you guys think of Vermeil being our head coach for a couple of years. Vermeil and Gibbs are very good friends and he knows Saunders very well. Dick Vermeil is a proven coach although he is older than Gibbs. If he wants to be a coach again I believe we could look at him for a couple of years.

Vermeil is a great coach, but I really doubt he ever wants to come back. He's older than Gibbs.

Please let him rest in peace. How about Ted Marchibroda, Marv Levy, jack Pardee? GW is the man, no one else or the team is headed the wrong direction.

Is he even interested in coming back??

I doubt it.

This guy is a joke hes all over the place, I don't think he knows what he wants? Hes talking to the Falcons just to say NO, like he has done to everyone other team for years.

I don't understand why teams are even interested in this guy, he never did much in the NFL to begin with. He belongs in college level ball right where hes at.

Plain and simple answer to the question of him coming to DC: NO

You must be referring to Pete Carroll?

Right post. Wrong thread?

I'm just saying Vermeil if it is not GW. If GW leaves instead of being the defensive coordinator we could go after Ron Rivera who runs the cover 2 scheme that we have been accustomed to. You have to admit that Vermeil can coach and with a defense to help him he can get us over the hump in a few years.

This won't happen but i like Dick Vermeil. He's a winner. I do believe we need to get younger and get a coach we can potentially keep for 7-10 years....hopefully.

If Dick Vermeil comes to Washington, I'll be very happy..
