The NASCAR venture, at which he's been extremely successful, is something that brings him closer to family. And since the Charlotte/Huntersville area is the "hub of stock car racing," Joe won't have to make much expense to travel to the race shop and offices. All I have to say is: "Go Dale Jr!" I wonder how Earnhardt felt about Gibbs' retirement, since he's an ardent fan of the team.
