I believe that picture is real and it was taken last offseason.
Chad Johnson?Sheriff Gonna Getcha 01-08-2008, 04:26 PM I believe that picture is real and it was taken last offseason. freddyg12 01-08-2008, 04:34 PM I threw out Javon Walker & people here had good reasons we shouldn't trade for him. I already have an opinion of CJ & I don't think he's a good fit here, even w/Gibbs gone. The chemistry that's been established here is fragile & doesn't need a guy like that to taint it. He is still a top wr though, can't deny his ability & work ethic. I just think he's become more of a problem & might continue to do so here. dgreen 01-08-2008, 05:07 PM CJ turns 30 tomorrow. 30 isn't a horrible age for WR like it is for RB. SouperMeister 01-08-2008, 05:11 PM 30 isn't a horrible age for WR like it is for RB.but do you pay a 30 year old WR top free agent money at that position? I say hell no. Knowing what we know about Johnson, he won't be open to anything less than top dollar. dgreen 01-08-2008, 05:14 PM but do you pay a 30 year old WR top free agent money at that position? I say hell no. Knowing what we know about Johnson, he won't be open to anything less than top dollar. Redskins typically give out 3-year contracts. They are technically like 5, 6, or 7-year deals, but they are designed to be restructured or cut after 3 years. So, you are only signing him to what amounts to a 3-year deal. I have no doubt that CJ can produce like a top WR the next three years. So, whether he's 25 or 30 really isn't a big deal to me. Redskins_P 01-08-2008, 05:16 PM Is this real or a photoshopped picture? Honestly, I'm not sure. It was emailed to me this morning. Redskin Warrior 01-08-2008, 06:23 PM That's another reason not to trade for him. We wouldn't have to trade for him the word is the Bengals might release him. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 01-08-2008, 06:25 PM We wouldn't have to trade for him the word is the Bengals might release him. Really? From where? I can't imagine anyone letting go of anyone of that caliber without any compensation. BaltimoreSkins 01-08-2008, 06:51 PM I'm not the biggest CJ fan, because of his ego. However, many prima donna wide receivers have had a change of heart after finding new homes. Don't know if its worth the risk though Big C 01-08-2008, 07:11 PM too big of a move, lets keep some stability, no huge name signings, especially when we would have to yet again sacrifice draft picks |
