Possible later round wr to look at, he was hurt all this year but his jr year he had 12tds. He's got great size(6'5 219), maybe a little on the slow side. But with questions at wr for us he might be a guy to look at in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round. Anyone know more about him??

I guess he's ranked higher then i thought. Do we take a wr with our 1st rounder, probably not.

i watched a few longhorn games, since i live in texas. he seems to have good hands. not overly fast. he breaks quite a few tackles. as far as i can tell he has a great attitude.

Nothing wrong with this thread. It's specific to Sweed

rather try dj hall instead.... WRs are much safer in FA though, and a guy like walker CJ etc would be a better idea (imo). I wouldn't take sweed in the first.
we need a stud there, or at least a clear #1 to help explode moss's stats, or its not worth it. having 14 #2s doesn't help us... it HAS to be a guy near or better than moss as far as talent (with less hamstring issues).

My buddy goes to UT and I asked him about Sweed (He's hardcore into their sports) he said stay clear of him. Ill take his word on this guy.

I wouldn't mind seeing us taking another WR in the draft, but I would be kind of pissed if we did so with our first pick. We have more pressing needs along the lines and in the secondary.

personally -- I think we take the best stud DE or WR available in the first -- then toss everything we have into the offensive line and defensive line (to a lesser extent). I'd also be okay with a safety at that spot. I guess what I'm saying: 1st overall pick take the best player on the board nearly regardless of position (minus RB or something), and then build the lines.
