I'm looking for a Guard, Safety, DE, or an exceptional Linebacker prospect as our first pick. Drafting a WR in the first round is high risk in my opinion, now if your boy drops to us in the second round then make him a Redskin, but chances are thats not going to happen.

Redsk1 - he was a first rounder - I was so mad at that draft because we needed a guard that year and Steve Hutchinson kept falling in that draft - when Hutchinson was available I was jumping for joy that he fell into our laps but instead of taking Hutchinson we took Gardner - I remember to this day the ESPN analysts questioning why we didn't take Hutchinson because they also thought the Skins needed a guard. I was surprised because Marty was in control at the time and that pick looked like it had Dan Synder written all over it (big, flashy receiver over badly needed lineman).
actually as I recall the danny wanted Moss, who went one pick later to the NYJ.
I remember everyone saying we needed a wr that year, don't know if Marty agreed or not. WR is a tough position to draft, but if you look to build long term, it can be worth it to nab one early as he'll start to produce in the 3rd year if he's good.

I hear people talk about Sweed's speed, but we need possession receiver. We already have speed with Santana Moss. We need a tall receiver that can outjump DBs and fight for the ball. Although I must agree with the discussions about not taking a WR in the first round. Oh well.

He won't be there when we pick. If he was, we have higher priorities. DE, DT.

This kid has looked solid all year. He is big, he can catch, and he can block. I spotted him at the Insight Bowl and thought that he would be worth a late round selection this year. The Freshman that he plays with, "Dez White" is going to be special though; probably a 1st rounder, but we'll see.

bowman could be a great value, but it really depends on when he goes.

I agree, as long as he goes middle 4th or later, he is a steal.

Man we need to see what A. Mix can do. I am from Texas and watched a lot of his games and he never just wowed me. Use our picks for D line and O line depth.
