Maybe he didn't want to commit to a starting QB, because it won't be his call next year....Just a thought.

Well I guess now that we know he's retireing this becomes the bigger issue of his press conference.

I was kinda upset because Gibbs really talked Collins up and wouldnt make a comment on if this is still Jason's team. At least make it sound like Jason will return to his role as starter but Todd will have a chance to challenge him in the preseason. Now I feel like we got to pay Todd big bucks to stay around.

One thing that pissed me off was the last question about if Gibbs was going to continue to let the players train and condition on their own, where they want. I thought the question was asked in a way that alluded to the problems with all the injuries this year. Gibbs kinda blew it off and said that he thinks he gonna do the same thing as last year, which is let them stay home to train individually.

You guys are crazy, there's no way he's considering retiring.

Boswell sums things up perfectly here: Thomas Boswell - Extending Himself - washingtonpost.com (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/01/07/AR2008010703457.html)

Well I guess not everyones crazy! Well maybe the Gibbsologist, that didn't quite sum it up so perfectly.

It seemed to at the time, I think this caught most of us off guard.
