At what cost? If he goes anywhere I might see him going to Miami for the first pick in the third round. Would the Skins be willing to give up pick 52 (or whatever their second is) for Johnson? Would sort of contract does he carry? I'm assuming he doesn't come cheap. Plus the Redskins really could benefit more from a guy like T.J. Houshmanzadah than either Chad or Javon IMO.
TJ is who he is because of Chad. Chad frees TJ up, much like TO free's up Witten and Crayton. I'm not saying to get Johnson no matter what the cost but if you can get him without getting bent over the rail then I say get him. We're not blowing up the roster but I think that Chad is the type of player that you want on your team.

I thought about this too freddy. My biggest concern is really that he has developed a reputation, from what I hear, for having a real attitude problem and creating tensions in the locker room.
Yeah also we already took a character gamble with Lloyd. I think Gibbs and the Redskins and done playing around with losers like that.

LOL ok
It's Javon Walker, not Reche Caldwell.
I love how everyone assumes we can get people for vet minimum.

How about Jerry Porter form the Raiders? He's a DC native and physical specimen at 6'2" 220lbs. Also on defense Tommy Kelly 6'6" 300lbs DE from the Raiders who got hurt and is available.

It was a joke, see 724 Skins' post. I should've quoted it in my post. In fact, the humor of it is just what you pointed out; how everyone says they'd like the skins to sign someone for vet min.

The trouble is it's tough to tell when it's a joke or not. Some people really do throw out the vet minimum thing anytime a players name comes up.
Next time throw in a ;) so we know you're joking.

his current contract is undervalued for his play, and getting him in a trade means we don't have any bonus money on our books, making the contract cheaper (And then you can extend and convert and keep a lot of free cap space this year to get briggs)... more than likely he'd want a new contract, but either way, for a 2nd, he'd still be worth it. Moss, TO, CJ... those are real difference makers at WR, and if he's up, he's worth fighting for, especially since we got the rest of the offense squared away now.

Let me remind you, he had one solid year for Green Bay and is getting higher than deserving ratings, and has since. It's been 4 years!!!

Walker is damaged goods bud. A good receiver no doubt, but injury prone. Get a tall young stud via the draft and at a cheaper price and we should be fine. I almost think we should go after 2 of them in the mold of Plaxico Burress or Marques Colston. We need tall guys tht can outjump or leap any CB.

Not to mention that he has wanted out of both teams he has played for. No thanks.
