He could go to take substance abuse classes for alcohol just as easy for a time cut also. It is part of the game when one is in prison to get a time cut. He is no different then any other offender.

Exactly. During law school I worked in a legal aid clinic that provided legal advice to federal inmates. MANY inmates wanted to get access to the drug rehab program; knowing that successfully completing the program would reduce their sentences.

That being said, the drug rehab wing of the prison I often went to was no vacation destination. I would bet a good 50% of the people here on this site would pee their pants if they had to stay in such "accomodations" for a week or so. The guards and staff do their best, the facilities are not wretched, and it's not Shawshank, but it's no Club Med either.
