Did you see how BIG he was at Taylor's funeral. He hasn't missed many meals since being out of the league.

And I knew a guy who had a kidney disease but still ended up playing through it in the NBA. Alonzo Mourning..

Heck there were tons of people who overcame injuries and adversity to make an impact in sports.

John Lester BoSox - Cancer
Sean Elliott SA Spurs - Kidney Transplant
Grant Hill - Numerous surgery on ankle
Lance Armstrong - Cancer

So... in essence all those people who say that Arrington's Knee is shot.. give me proof. Find me a website or a direct quote from a reliable source that says that Arrington's Knee gone and cannot play in the NFL. Anyone????

So for those critics and gossipers that love to pretend to know everything about every single damn player... stop giving out false info... because that is only your opinion and not based on facts.

I personally would like to see Lavar back on the field just to laugh at all the haters and doubters.

Oh what is that famous quote from Adidas?.. OH RIGHT!

IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING

Most of the guys you mentioned in your post fully recovered, physically. Those that didn't (Mourning, for instance), never regained their prior form. LaVar's knees will never recover - he has no cartilage in his right knee. It is a fact.

Here is a post (http://www.redskinswarpath.com/174769-post87.html) that refers to an article that mentions Lavar's condition. I believe it's from PFT.

Lavar has lived off of one play his whole career. And it was while he played for Penn State against Illinois. This dude was over for me when he signed with the Giants...I would'nt even want this clown on the Redskins, its bad enough he is on TV

Brian Mitchell played for the Giants and I don't hear anybody badmouthing him.

...and another thing, LeVar was one of my favorite players. I wish the defensive coaching staff had treated him better because I saw a lot of long runs being made while LeVar was left on the bench. I also remember him as a playmaker, and he knocked a well-known Dallas QB into the broadcasting booth. He was drafted just before LT Chris Samuels, and when somebody comes tearing into Jason Campbell because Samuels missed his block, do the same people that are down on Arrington criticize Samuels for letting his man beat him and tear into our QB?

What u posted was ancient article posted 2 years ago.

Until we actually the numbers and the exact condition of his health, it would be nice if all the medical experts (sarcasm) on warpath to diagnose themselves in the corner of the room for some quiet time.

That's kind of the point.:) The body does not regenerate knee cartilage, therefore, over the past 2 years, Lavar's condition could not in any way have significantly improved itself. Especially considering the fact that he has been nursing *other* injuries (Achilles, broken bones, obesity, etc). He's done.

I really don't know why some people have such a love affair with Lavar. He was a good player for a few years. He was a bright spot on some bad teams. He played without fear, and his body is now paying for it. He's probably a good, likable guy off the field, but there has been absolutely nothing reported that could lead any logical person to believe he can become a force again. You're right, anything is possible, but the evidence just isn't leading us to that conclusion at this point.

Schneed, with your permission...

This thread is RETARDED. It's so unbelievably RETARDED it should be stickied to show everyone the definition of a RETARDED thread. If there was a definition of "RETARDED Threads" in the dictionary, it would say "See: Lavar in 2008"

This obsession over one now average at best, broken down at worst LB is RETARDED.

RETARDED. RETARDED. RETARDED.
