FRPLG 01-03-2008, 09:05 AM Maybe someday there will be a place where fans can get access to these types of articles at a moments notice over a boxy looking thing at their desk. We'll call it a 'Magic TV w/ keyboard and clicky thing' and maybe someone will figure out how to connect all the 'Magic TVs w/ keyboard and clicky thing' together to share these insightful articles. We'll call it the Intermesh. Someday...
Monkeydad 01-03-2008, 10:00 AM Unreal.
Morons.
This not only got past the writer, but his editors, the website guys and all of their management at Scouts, Inc, but it was missed by ESPN too.
They're becoming a joke. (ESPN) I also don't think I'll ever be able to trust anything from Scouts, Inc.
hail_2_da_skins 01-03-2008, 10:09 AM Okay, so I lied about not wasting anymore breath on this one. Scouts Inc. also ranked us as the worst overall defense out of any of the playoff teams!!! Are they serious? Did someone highjack their site and post this stuff, or are they really that dumb? Hacks Inc. is more like it. Wow.
It's from "insider" so I copied/pasted it:

Print (http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/print?id=3175066&type=story)Maybe the glamour offenses are in the AFC, but the best defenses appear to be in the NFC. A pair of NFC teams top Scouts Inc.'s rankings of the playoff defenses. Dallas, armed with the top linebackers, and Green Bay, which features one of the best DB units, are tied for the top spot.
Scouts Inc. ranked the 12 playoff teams by position on a scale of 1-12, with one being the best. After adding the points, here are the overall results, with lowest score being the best.
Also, you can read the individual position breakdowns here:

SmootSmack 01-03-2008, 10:33 AM Well I got them to fix it:
4. Washington Redskins: Joe Gibbs is one of the best coaches of all time, and this season he has done a great job of managing his team down the stretch in the wake of the Sean Taylor tragedy. However, his clock management has not been great and there are times when it appears the game has passed him by. Gibbs has two excellent sidekicks, though, in offensive coordinator Al Saunders and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Gibbs has never been great as a delegator, so it is important that he does not try to be too hands-on in the postseason and allows his coaches to do their jobs, and if he does that, the Redskins will be a dangerous team in the playoffs.
A little ticked that they don't even acknowledge that he's in the HOF. And the "never been great as a delegator" comment is so off base it's laughable. But I'll save those battles for another day.

It's still wrong, he's still ranked #4 and all of their crap about him not being a great delegator is in there. All they did was remove ONE of their idiotic statements that were wrong.
:D

Kudos for setting them straight. At least now they have their facts straight. The Gibbs being a bad delegator is way wrong, but it's an opinion, not a fact. You set them straight on the facts, but it's up to them to come up with valid opinions - and they failed.
Monkeydad 01-03-2008, 11:21 AM ^
The fact is that their opinions are wrong. :)

Yes, he has done a wonderful job such as calling timeouts he doesn't have and costing his teams game. But he's in the Hall of Fame, its ok!
TheMalcolmConnection 01-03-2008, 11:53 AM When did he call timeouts he didn't have?
