Just curious as to what everybody is thinking about how the Skins should play the Seahawks on defense.
Do we play them conservatively rushing primarily four guys and play coverage? This has worked earlier against teams that are more pass oriented like the Seahawks have been lately.
Do we play aggressive and blitz early and often from disguised formations? We haven't done much of this so far this year, but GW can bring it like the best of them.
Do we key on stopping on the run? Alexander has played better as of late.
What does everyone think GW will dial up this weekend?

GW will dial up whatever has worked best against da-haux all year. His D is usually a hybrid of whatever worked best. After all, da-haux have not won every game they have played this year, play in an unusually weak conference, and are not the highest seed for good reason.

And what has worked best against "da-haux" this year.
I haven't watched more than a clip here and a clip there. I've just heard that their running game was pretty poor most of the season so Holmgren put it on Hasselbeck to get it going through the air (and he did), then their running game supposedly came around as of late.

Its a must to stop Alexander... If he is contained I believe the skins will have a good chance to advance!

I'm more concerned about their passing game. We stopped AP and Marion Barber so I think we have good chance of stopping their rushing offense, but we gotta put MH under pressure.

I don't know what to think about Alexander. I believe he's had some nagging injuries for much of the year, and he's just recently become healthy. So, he could be dangerous if he's healthy. However, ever since Hutchison went to the Vikings, Seattle's running game just has not been the same.

it probably will be similar to what they used against Detroit. Seattle doesn't run the ball that much, and when they do, they aren't very effective

Seattle will use a lot of screen passes to compensate for their not so strong running game. They better defend this or will end up like the NE game.

stop hasselbeck is the key. keep him on his back at all cost. It was he who killed us in 05 so we have to stop him first.
