Now for the rest of the story:

On a third-and-5 in the second quarter, Terry Glenn proved the health of his knee by taking a shot at the legs from Redskins rookie S LaRon Landry. Glenn had already fought through an illegal chuck from Fred Smoot, and was upended downfield on a go route by Landry, coming screaming off the hash.

And at first, Glenn thought nothing of it. But his teammates didn't feel that way and after the situation was explained to him, Glenn's mind began to change on the matter.

"From what I heard, the guy was really trying to take me out," Glenn said. "So now I look back on it, yeah, I think it was intentional, because he could’ve stayed back. If I’m running in for the ball like that, why is he coming at my knees?"

QB Tony Romo was as upset as anyone, saying in his postgame presser that it was "disappointing" while characterizing the hit as a cheap shot. Glenn wasn't happy either, but seemed willing to chalk part of it up to youth.

"He’s a young guy," Glenn said. "And hey, I guess he wanted to play a little dirty, I don’t know, I’m not sure."

Glenn at first did not think that Landry was trying to hurt him, but in the end chalked it up to rookie inexperience.

No harm no foul.

Is he talking about his collision with Landry? Landry was sliding on his knees because of the wet field and collided with Glenn just at the moment when Glenn's body was up in the air. It's one thing if a D-back is running on his two legs toward a receiver, but Landry's collision --again, he was sliding -- is virtually impossible to time.

Exactly, BringbackJoe. Anyone watching the play could clearly see Landry sliding accross the wet surface and not trying to take out Glenn.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Maybe he's miffed because Springs made him look silly when he read him like a book and got the pickle.

LOL totally ridiculous. It was not a dirty or cheap hit.

Wow, what a pussy! If LL wanted to take him out, he would have taken his pansy ass out!

The point is they are still saying he tried to hurt him, when he wasn't. The rookie inexperience line is a bunch of BS. Didn't Parcells refer to Glenn as SHE.

I have to look back on the game but Landry was on his kneens and then to his ass to trying not to hit Smoot on the wet grass. The truth of the matter thier was many late hits by Cowboys as the game move into the second hafe. If and it is a big if the Redskins beat the Hawks the Cowboys/Redskins rematch will be a very hard hitting battle!
