JWsleep 12-31-2007, 02:54 AM WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
After the Buffalo loss, I felt as low as I ever have as a skins fan. That makes this all the more sweet. Talk about lighting a fire! What a run!

I concur....hahaha
KLHJ2 12-31-2007, 04:28 AM I know i said it a week or so ago im sure others have said it but take a notice the NFC EAST is back.
3 teams from the NFC East are in the playoffs has this happened before?
Last year, Dallas, Philly, and the NYG all made it. The NFC East usually sends at least 2 every year. In the past 10 years only 4 times has the NFC East failed to send 2 teams into the post season (1997, 1998, 2001, 2004). 3 out of those 4 times the NFC East was only 1 game away from sending 2 teams (usually this Skins were the #7 seed). Only in 2004 was the entire NFC East (except Philly) completely out of the Playoff hunt when WAS, NYG, and DAL all finished with a 6-10 record. In short, 60% of the time the NFC East sends 2, and 20% of the time they send 3, which is still more than any other division in the NFC. The NFC East never fell off of the map. We just dont have 2 teams that post 12+ win seasons, because everybody in our Division can play.
Usually our division splits wins with each other. That is 3 loses right off the bat. Everyone is going to pick up a few more L's down the line, unless you are NE or the 72 Dolphins.
The NFC East always has been, is, and probably always will be the toughest Division in the NFL.
jbcjr14 12-31-2007, 08:15 AM I am sooooo proud of these guys! They have fought their guts out all year long and it has paid off with a playoff appearance. The other gratifying thing is all the press is now saying that the Skins are the hottest team in the NFC and to watch out for a deep run (get off our nuts bitches!).
No matter what happens, this team has great character and they play much better in the midst of adversity. HAIL!

Great stats angryssg!! I've always agreed the NFC East IS the toughest division in the NFL.
Seriously though.....we are one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs!
killromo 12-31-2007, 09:22 AM I am so proud of this TEAM, from Dan Snyder to the guy that cleans the toilets. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Now it's payback time for Seattle!!
I will admit I was not a fan of snyder at all...until the ST tragedy. I felt like he handled that beautifully and made the right decisions throughout. Now I am behind Snyder 110%. The whole organization is closer than ever. We have the bonds of brothers on that field, in the stands, and on the streets of DC. Redskins football is back. To say i am proud is an understatement. Seattle our 12th man is better than yours.
ChuckPrez 12-31-2007, 09:37 AM It's a good day to be a Skins fan.
I'm proud.
agreed!

I agree with the excecption of the PAT's the Redskins are the hottest team in the NFL right now. It is very possible for us to go all the way because of how we have been playing.
DGreene28 01-01-2008, 01:29 AM Hasselbeck's wrist doesn't look like it's a big deal...
Notebook | Hasselbeck's wrist OK
By Danny O'Neil
Seattle Times staff reporter
ATLANTA — The results weren't all positive for Seattle on Sunday.
As far as quarterback Matt Hasselbeck's wrist goes, that's a good thing. A very good thing.
Hasselbeck injured his right wrist early in the second quarter when he fell awkwardly. He returned to the game and while Hasselbeck did not play in the second half, coach Mike Holmgren said that was the plan for playing time and not because of an injury.
Still, Hasselbeck underwent X-rays after going to the locker room, and no fracture was detected.
"I was throwing the ball away and hit the ground," Hasselbeck said. "I don't know if I landed on it or somebody landed on it, but just kind of fell awkwardly."
Hasselbeck had some tape applied in the second quarter, and iced it afterward. He doesn't anticipate it will cause him to miss any practice time. In fact, he threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Bobby Engram after the injury.
4mrusmc 01-01-2008, 11:58 AM I don't want to start a new thread on this one question, but does any of the brain-trust know of all of the games we played this year, how many of those games were we leading in going into half-time? I think the answer will shock alot of us and make us wonder what our record could be. We would probably me looking at homefield advantage throughout, and the #1 seed.
