Bill B 12-28-2007, 11:18 AM Jeez, Rocky goes down and all of a sudden LB is a big need? I just don't see it. I like our depth and I think guys like Godfrey and Blades can hold things down in the meantime. Knowing how GW likes his backers I'm sure we might add a player or two to that spot, but I just don't think we need to go crazy and add a high profile guy. This is the advice I think needs to be used right now for the Redskins on almost the whole team. Keep and use the draft picks in place (if we can trade down and pick up more all the better), and than fill the holes with mid-tiered and lower priced free agents and the team would be better off. We have enough high priced players on the roster, lets keep picking up cheap, "blue collar" players and I bet you that the stories of unheralded players like Lorenzon Alexander, Anthony Montgomery and Stephon Heyer keep appearing and pretty soon Dan Synder won't need to have Redskin 1 on the runway warming up at 12:01 every year when the free agent market opens up. skinsfan69 12-28-2007, 11:24 AM I"M SO SICK OF LANCE BRIGGS. We have guys that have been around long enough to pick up the slack until Rocky get's back. This is why you have guys like Blades (who was a tackling machine in college) on the roster. What about Khary Campbell? He has started in the past for us and done ok. LB is does not seem to be an area of need. DE and O-line is where we need to start looking. Signing big name guys does not seem to work around here. It's all about how well guys can play together. Big C 12-28-2007, 11:35 AM i like blades but he is a middle linebacker naturally Big C 12-28-2007, 11:50 AM here is a list of upcoming free agents if we want to look for a lower end one Draft Daddy: 2008 NFL Draft: Prospects, Position Rankings, Senior Bowl, Combine (http://www.draftdaddy.com/nfldraft/freeagentdefense.cfm) SFREDSKIN 12-28-2007, 12:18 PM here is a list of upcoming free agents if we want to look for a lower end one Draft Daddy: 2008 NFL Draft: Prospects, Position Rankings, Senior Bowl, Combine (http://www.draftdaddy.com/nfldraft/freeagentdefense.cfm) I would bring back Chris Clemons he's got 8 sacks this year or sign Danny Clark from the Texans (pretty aggressive player) NicknacK89 12-28-2007, 01:57 PM michael boley is unbelievable, OLB and is 25... hes restricted free agent and im not too knowledgeable on those rules, but i think hes the best on out there. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 12-28-2007, 01:59 PM I would bring back Chris Clemons he's got 8 sacks this year or sign Danny Clark from the Texans (pretty aggressive player) I noticed Clemons' stats too. It's a shame he got injured and we let him go. SFREDSKIN 12-28-2007, 02:01 PM I noticed Clemons' stats too. It's a shame he got injured and we let him go. We can get him back he'll be a FA. 12thMan 12-28-2007, 02:02 PM I noticed Clemons' stats too. It's a shame he got injured and we let him go. Who's he playing for? 8 sacks? Are you guys serious? |
