Add Wade Phillips to the list if the Cowboys dont win a playoff game. Jason Garrett is going to garner a lot of interest from other teams, and Jerrry Jones is probably looking for a way to get Wade out of the way so he can promote Garrett. Phillips is safe with a deep playoff run, but if he goes one and done...I don't think he will be back.
I think you missed my sarcasm with that one =p
ah ok, I was worried there for a minute

I thought Brian Billick would be on the firing list, but it looks like he's going to stay and just revamp his coaching staff.

The panthers have a GM so I don't think you can lay personal issues on Fox alone. I don't think they can get anyone better, plus he has taken that team to an NFC championship game and a SB. He kinda reminds me of Bill Cowher...he is a very good coach and deserves at least one more shot.
Didn't they pluck their GM from the Washington Times, or something like that?

Sort of, he spent five years as a beat writer covering the Redskins for the Washington Times. Here's his NFL story (http://www.panthers.com/Team/StaffBio.aspx?id=2154):
Hurney first caught the eye of former Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke as a reporter covering the team's championship runs in the 1980's. Developing an association with Cooke, head coach Joe Gibbs and general manager Bobby Beathard, Hurney joined the Redskins public relations department in 1988. In 1990, Hurney moved with Beathard to San Diego, serving as the general manager's assistant with responsibilities that included organizing the scouting department and player contracts and overseeing the day-to-day football administration.
With the advent of the salary cap in 1993, Hurney emerged as the club's specialist in compliance management to the agreement, while earning distinction as both an administrator and negotiator, and played an integral role in San Diego's AFC Championship in 1994. Applying the lessons he has learned over the years under some of the game's most successful leaders, Hurney has become a proven leader himself.

Brian Billick is terrible. Nothing worse than an overconfident incompetent.

Firing your coach is the IN thing when your team has had a terrible season, but I would have to say that most of the coaches that have been mentioned in this thread have terrible starting QBs. In a league that has become so much about quality QB play, most of these coaches would have probably had much better seasons with good QB's. Start naming the bad teams and then think about their QBs and you will see what I mean. Dolphins, Jets, Chiefs, Ravens, etc. Most of these so called lousy coaches just need a good QB. Imagine the Bears with McNabb or the Vikings with Brad Johnson? Just a thought. Gibbs looks like a genius with Collins.

i agree. a so called offensive genius in Minn., biilick cant spell offense in Baltimore. and who ever took Boller in the draft should be fired immediately. he reminds me of when Pat Riley left the show time lakers and went to the knicks. whatever the style the knicks played was anything but showtime. more like lets beat them up basketball
