The Redskins have rewarded our faith with an intensely important game in week 17. There have not been many of us that remained faithful and believed in the 07 Skins, but those that have...pat yourselves on the back. You are a solid reason why the Skins have been successful lately. Faith is a powerful thing.
I'm going to take the high road here. I could write a list of people (a long list mind you) that gave up on this team, and some that made threads about our demise, but instead of dwelling on that, I am inviting everyone to enjoy where we are RIGHT NOW. We have a chance to make the playoffs with only 1 more win. Win and you're in. It doesn't get much better than this. For as corny as this sounds, let's all join together and enjoy this as a whole as only we can do as the best fans on the planet.
I forgo any grudges I have on posters here that have been less than optimistic, and I look forward to ALL OF US enjoying a victory over hated Dallas to get into the playoffs. Who's with me?

As long as coach Gibbs is the coach, I never give up, ever!!

You don't have to name names, everyone knows who they are. I'm not much of a homer so I guess I'm in the list of unfaithful. A playoff birth is nice but I need and want a SB caliber team. Through all the excitement one needs to be mindful that the Skins are going to be a 9-7 team.

Gotta love football.

After it's all sad in done, we're playing a meaningful game during week 17. That's pretty awesome.

Let's go skins, it's DALLAS WEEK! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Only 1 team a year is happy at the end. The other 31 have to hope that next year will be "the year."

jsarno, good thread! My cup is ALWAYS at least half full! I've been rooting my beloved team on this year, and 40+ prior it never stops for a true diehard WIN or LOSS!

I hope and believe they can give us the WIN we need to get into the playoffs this weekend, and I'll be there to root them into victory. When we finish off the cowgirls everyone is 0-0, it's a new season! Then I'll be rooting for our next SUPERBOWL RUN, YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS & KEEP THE FAITH!

We're all fans here baby. Lets get to the playoffs and get ready for a few wins. Like A.R.E said, 5 games to go. I never gave up but that is besides the point. The week of buffalo was the worst week of my redskin fandom life.

The thing is, the league won't remember sean like we will. He will be honored a few times again and then be forgotten. His name won't be brought up. I would like him to be remembered for how great he was. The only way to do that is to win, win, win. People remember the steelers super bowl for Bettis because they "won it for jerome". If we do the impossible and make noise in the playoffs, Sean Taylor will be remembered throughout the league. The media will talk about his inspiration and more. I just want the league to never forget who sean was and not look at it as an event.

On a side note: I was so close to putting 20 dollars on the skins making the super bowl at 100:1 odds. That would have been nice. It was 300:1 to win the super bowl at that point also. I didn't only because i have never bet online so i didn't want to transfer the money online. Whatever.

Call pessimists out...its all good - as a doubter I'll happily eat crow if we make it to the playoffs. Still not convinced about this team and coaches being consistently high performers. A few shaky wins and close losses to start next season, and the doubt will percolate onto the threads again.

The thing I was wrongest about is how well the offense could function under Collins. That's been the most surprising thing the last 3 weeks. Especially the domination of NYG and Minn on the road.

Ole Joe hasn't been mismanaging games either. Great job getting the troops fired up to play.
