I hope they play everybody....Make it even better
i don't. I hope they play no one and let us win. This game will be remembered a good deal if they try their hardest but it can't compare to the skins vs. Dallas in the playoffs. That will be the biggest game since the last super bowl.

[QUOTE=Gibbsmeatitle#1;396809]Didn't he start for the Vikes last year when they beat us? Not to mention the fact that he's won a superbowl and was, according to some, given a bad deal here when we dumped him for Jeff "I'm the King" George.

yes he did, plus he beat us when he was with tampa, more than once I think too.I dont think he's lost to us since we let him go.That was one of snyders top 5 boneheaded moves of all time signing george over brad. The skins cant be relaxed here thinking dallas wont be playing their starters,I would rather have them at full strength. The cowboys have a way of ruining our party no matter who they play,I think it was in 91,we were undefeated playing dallas in washington, dallas was 0-11 I think and they beat us for I think their only win of the season, anyone remember paul palmer? SKINS CANNOT TAKE THIS GAME LIGHTLY thinking dallas wont be at full strength

no. Dallas actually made the playoffs in 91 (then got hammered 38-6 by Detroit). I remember Dallas scoring on a hail mary before halftime in that game against us. the year dallas beat us for their only win was 89. Aikmans first year.

as far as who dallas is going to play, Did'nt they just activate Terry Glenn? nobody's touched on this, but it makes perfect sense for them to play Glenn in place of Owens to get him back into game shape. hell, that's what i would do if i was coach. Glenn's given us problems in the past as well. Anybody know more about his playing status?

I got some of the facts mixed up,but dallas did beat us in 89 for their only win and then they ruined our perfect record in 91,my point was it doesnt matter who dallas suits up on sunday they always play us twice as tough as anybody else they would be playing and theyve broken our hearts too many times over the yrs,way more then we've done to them, the skins have to come out fired up for this game and not take anybody lightly.Dallas has nothing to lose so they can take all the chances they want, onsides kicks, going for it on 4th down when they shouldnt, gadget plays, whatever they want to do it doesnt matter to them, they could do some crazy shit just to have more game film for their opponent to prepare for in the playoffs

It doesn't matter who they start, we are playing inspired football right now. I do not even delieve that the PAT's could beat us right now.

Heres a little commentary from Wade:

On how long they would play the starters:
"We have not decided that yet. Whoever we have in there we feel like we can win with. That is how we are going to play the game."

Conference Calls: Phillips, Ellis (http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=33261)

I think you can take his Q&A either way, I kinda feel like they're gonna be playing all healthy starters the whole game as long as it remains close.

I guess lets just do all we can and make as much noise as possible. And dont forget to buy those 2 beers before the end of the 3rd quater, that can be vital.

The biggest thing they have to play for is 14 wins, which would be a franchise record. Jerry Jones would love to do that I'm sure.

I see them playing tough for a half, but not having much intensity in the 2nd half. If we can't grind it out & play ball control O in the 2nd half, we don't deserve it anyway.

I do see Dallas' O having some incentive to play hard w/Johnson & Glenn in there.

There's no way he plays his starters very long no matter what the score. They have nothing to gain by playing their starters.

The key quote is this "Whoever we have in there we feel like we can win with."

That means look for the backups to see significant action.

Part of me wants to see Dallas but their first team out there so we can beat them streight up. The other half says if they wat to rest their guys then great if it makes an easier win for us. I would love to see the Skins have this game wraped up in the first half and just have fun playing in the second. Less stress on us fans and team!!!

Honestly I'm not sure it would matter who Dallas plays and for how long, if only because of the way the Cowboys will prepare for this game and the mindset of the players coming in to it.

The players know this is basically a preseason game for them and they're just not going to come in to this game hungry and ready to go for a full 4 quarters. Meanwhile for the Redskins the entire season is on the line.

At this time of year the team that needs the game more typically wins. And I think a lot of that is due to the mental aspect of the game. If a team doesn't need the game, they just don't approach the game in the same manner.

The Skins should be fired up and ready to rock in this one, and Dallas could come out flat. That's no fault to them though, they've earned the right to rest their starters.

If the Skins were in the same situation, I would fully expect Gibbs to maybe play the starters for a series or two and then pull them out. No need to risk any key injuries.

It's skins-boys--anything could happen. And even Dallas's backups are good, and psyched to show they deserve time. As mentioned, Brad Johnson always gives us fits--he's not going to make the sorts of mistakes that Eli and and the vikes QB made.

Gotta bring our best--all the work, all the pain of the year, comes down to this!
