I know you're big on stats, but your stats for Rock aren't meaningful.

The only meaningful year in Rock's stats is 2003, when he was part of the gameplan. Everything else is, statistically, an aberration and, therefore, meaningless.

Looking at 2003, his YPC is 3.8 and TD/Carry is .009. Obviously Betts is the better carrier, even if you factor out the games he was the starter (for the same reason).Actually, I agree with you here. Rock's rushing numbers haven't been meaningful in the Gibbs era.

They've just been more consistent than Betts' numbers. Betts performed well in 2006, but that was a total abberation from what he did the rest of his career.

I think it may be a little unfair to compre the two statistically when Rock's sample isn't very big at all. I think most real football minds would say Betts is a better RB than Rock.I think most football minds would take Rock to carry the ball over Betts, but I don't know how Rock would grade out in pass blocking or pass receiving compared to Betts.

Betts is obviously the better pass receiver, and I can't really compare their pass blocking skills.

It's just in the most important facet of a RB's job, Rock has done better--historically in a small sample, than Betts has done--historically in a large sample.

Man this is crazy every year I pictured Rocky getting cut, more so to prepare myself as I've been a fan of his since he was drafted, but now its to the point where he might cut us and get a decent sized contract. Ironic.
