It's been a very tumultuous season so far for our beloved Redskins. First it was our injury plagued O-Line, then our defensive backs, inept offense, then the death of Sean Taylor, then JC's season ending injury. But all in all, we are 7-7 and in the thick of things for the last playoff wildcard race.
This showdown between the Redskins and Vikings will define our season. This is pretty much a make it or break it game. I am sure all of you guys are aware of how critical this game is to saving our season. Perhaps it's not just the season we are trying to salvage, but also remembering the death of a teammate, ST#21 and bringing the Joe Gibbs winning era back to the D.C. area. I can't say that I am confident in our team for it's been very erratic and streaky, but as a die hard fan you can't help but love and support this team.
I hope our players realize the season hangs by a thread and play their asses off and turn this season around.
What are your thoughts on what is the come.
Who will win the game?
What will be score?
Will we be in the playoffs?

I wouldn't exactly call it a showdown...we still have to win out and the Saints need to drop a game for us to have a chance.

btw you forgot rocky McIntosh's season ending injury! I agree with Saden1, we have to win out and the Saints have to loose once, unless the Giants loose all of their last two games, cause apparently we would have the tie breaker on them. Still a long way to go. BTW, the Eagles are now eliminated of playoffs contention which means that they have very few chances of beating NO for us.

Well I think the Giants lose remaining 2 games... Question is can the Redskins win the final 2 games? God I hope so! All I want for XMAS is a Wildcard birth!

Yes, win out. No need to worry about what everyone else is doing, just take care of business. Maybe we'll get lucky.

This game against Minn is like a single elimination playoff game. Both teams will want it bad. That should make it a great game to watch.

i'm not too impressed with the vikes.other than peterson, the oside of the ball stinks.on the dside, they are pretty impressive though.they certainly do'nt have the front the giants, cowboys,or eagles do.

Call it what you will but if the Skins lose they are done.

I think this is a single elimination game as well. The Saints would love for the Vikings to get beat, because the Skins just might put the Saints in the playoffs if that happen. On the flip side, I don't think the Giants will win another game if the weather in Buffalo is very bad this weekend. The Pats are going for perfection, so they will beat the Giants in Week 17.

I would think our chances of going to the playoffs are about 25% right now. Our chances of beating both Minnesota at the dome (definitely doable) and the Cowboys at home (difficult, but not impossible) are slim. Our chances of winning out AND the Saints losing to the Eagles OR the Bears are even smaller.
Still, given Sean's passing and that 50% of our starters are either on IR or are dealing with serious lingering injuries, I've got to say that I'm very pleased with our season. I know that many will want to deny Gibbs any credit and will discount the injuries by saying that Gibbs should have gotten us more depth, but you just can't please everyone.
