So I am bored and I compiled a list of keys to beat the Viks

1)Get ahead early and keep on it!-This is the most important thing because what I got from the game is T.Jackson is not a good passer. We need to get up and do it quick so the Viks are forced to play catchup. This will make Jackson throw alot, and make mistakes. We cannot let A.Peterson control this game.

2)Stop the run-Easier said than done. Take the Bears for example, they just played gaps well and did not over-pursue. We need to work on that because I feel like our D does over pursue at times.

3)Establish our run game-I mean we all saw last game. TC cannot play a 25+attempt passing game. he doesn't have the arm for it, and we need to help him with the run.

I agree with the first two. But not the third. I think Collins can easily have a 25+ pass attempt game in a dome against a team that has given up a lot of big passing plays and just lost their best corner in tonights game. Elements hurt both QBs last night. Collins had 24 attempts in the Bears game two weeks ago, didn't play the full game, and excelled.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather pound the run, but as strong as the Vikes are against it, I think we'll have to pass first in this one. Pass to set up some OUTSIDE runs. No one gets anything up the middle against Minnesota and Williams & Williams. The last thing I want to see are 3 or 4 three-and-outs to start the game because we insist on running every single 1st and 2nd down.

I say we go for the throat from the get go with a crisp passing attack that will be at a premium indoors with all key pass catchers healthy. We want to get up early and force them to throw with Tavarius Jackson. If it plays out this way I think we could win, and maybe even win big.

collins can throw it a lot, and im sure he will have to since the vikings have the best run d, and our o-line is mediocre at best

As far as pass protection, our guys did a great job against the Giants. Keep it up against Minny and we have a great chance to win.

I think we have to pass the ball. This team is the best run stuffing team in the NFL, and it's not as if our running game is dominant. I'm totally for west coastish type of passing game. Get the ball in the hands of our backs / speedy WRs but don't necessarily run it a ton.

Yeah I agree we need to pass to win. I don't see much running room against the Vikings. Collins and the receivers are going to need to have a big day to help open things up.

i'd blitz jackson every play cause he'll choke everytime and do something stupid.maybe keep a spy on peterson the whole game.

Yeah, I expect to see a LOT of run blitzes. Keeping AP and CT in check is the key to this game.

He was 15 for 20 in the bears game and did not pass 24 times.

I think if we can slow down the Vikes running game and force them to throw some their QB (forgot his name) is young and will make some mistakes. Also if we could just run the ball enough to keep them up some we can beat them in the air. Last night was the first time I have seen the Vikes play and feel we can beat them if we can keep Peterson in check.

I agree w/those that say pass first. We'll nickel & dime our way down the field w/screens & short stuff underneath. Make those guys run east - west & wear them out.

On D it will be intersting to see how much GW is willing to stack the box. That's what everyone does v. the vikes cause their air game is lacking.

I really feel we should win this game, we are the veteran team & will make the tough plays that are needed.
