Damn I hope they win next week to rest players in the Week 17. But he deserves it he does that too much.
It's possible Williams may try to appeal and push the suspension back to Week 17. But Williams is awful in pass coverage, and Cooley can totally abuse him. So I kind of hope he does play against us in week 17.

Uh oh? Are you about to start a "Roy Williams Oveerrated?" thread? :)

He's done it so many times that I simply don't believe that he's not trying to hurt people. The man knows what that kind of tackle can easily result in, but he does it again and again. I was actually pissed when I saw him do it last night.
So was I, I started yelling they should throw him out of the game for that tackle, the guy is a dirty player, he constantly goes after the receiver's head first, he gets cut a lot of slack because the NFL loves to promote him, but that type of tackle is really bad news, it's a career ending type of tackle it's not like he didn't have a choice, he could have easily went for the players legs. Good for the NFL it's the only way he will learn.

The fact that he argued the call goes to show you he is not only dirty but stupid as well.

well, i hear they're going to repeal the rule, since williams won't be able to hurt t.o. since theyre now on the same team.

It's not fair that this guy can knock someone out of the season for an illegal hit that he does again and again. The NFL needs to protect its players and if he does it again, and I'd be surprised if he didn't, I think that would warrant a severe suspension.
Exactly what I thought. He knocks people out for much more than just one game. The punishment should fit the crime.
It's interesting that he's the only player in the league who does it consistently.

Oh you mean like Ken Hamlin did on Sunday?
YouTube - Ken Hamlin blows up Matt Schobel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7-_E5hNuz0)
Yeah that's cool. Illegal helmet-to-helmet hit which is likely to break BOTH guys necks, and it looks like Hamlin was on the ground longer than Schobel.
Definitely a cool hit.

For the record, the suspension was warranted and Williams has nothing to complain about. He deserved that suspension 100%.
But that suspension is going to leave Dallas "thin" at the safety position for this Saturdays game at Carolina. Pat Watkins suffered a nasty sprain this week and he and Williams will be out for the Panthers game.
The irony is that the Cowboys secondary will most likely be facing off against Matt Moore, who will probably start for the Panthers. Matt Moore was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by Dallas and then released by Dallas at training camp this year.
