But is anyone else glad to see B. Gumbel not calling tonight. I don't know the name of the guy but I think he is from NBC sports but is much better than Gumbel. I have managed not to fall asleep yet watching the game. I agree, they do a good job saden1 12-14-2007, 01:03 AM I have learned to tune-out Gumbel quite well cause I really never hear him. Seriously, he is really bad and sucks the energy out of the game. I actuall thought it was Gumble at first and the only real difference is that he did not get mixed up as to what team he was talking about. I love the pregame stuff and realy think that the NFL Network does a good job up until we get to the announcers. My cousin with fox Tommy Brinneman (spelling) does a better job but he only does a few games a year for fox. He is manly baseball. I thought Hammond was a big improvement, but that speaks more to how bad Gumble is. At least Hammond wasn't messing up players' names and forgetting who plays for what team. You know, the basics of announcing a game.
