Southpaw 12-10-2007, 04:27 PM I can't stand Tom Brady, but like someone else here said, that's more for an indefinable quality of "douchebagedness." Honestly I've never really heard him say anything too crazy, he just strikes me as an arrogant pretty boy. Some people like that, some people don't, I just happen to not like it.
There are plenty of little snide remarks that he spits out from behind his pretty boy smile that just make me smile everytime he gets flattened by a 300 pound defensive lineman. After the Ravens game last week; when asked about the 4th & 1 play in which Brady was stuffed, but the Pats got a do-over because Rex Ryan called a timeout, Brady said that he would've had the first down, but he heard the whistle... sure you did asshole...
And then there's Brady the whiney bitch... Why is it ok for Tom Brady to bitch about holding or pass interference anytime he doesn't complete an effing pass? And if one of his passes is grossly over/underthrown, he screams at the receiver for running the wrong route. It's apparently never his fault.
And why is it ok for Tom Brady to run up to Anthony Smith and run his mouth for at least 30 seconds after throwing a touchdown? If that's not the definition of taunting, I don't know what is.
doxiechic12000 12-10-2007, 05:27 PM 52-7. Reason enough for me.
Ditto there man, what a bunch of fuck sticks. They all need to go back to elementary school and learn this over again....including the coaching staff. Funny thing about life, what goes around comes around and they will get thiers.

The answer is simple, he has a 4 inch tweeter.

What's wrong with having a 4 inch tweeter?
DynamiteRave 12-10-2007, 06:41 PM I don't have a problem with the Pats, they're just a good team. If people wanna see a new team win, they better pray their team gets better or hope Tom Brady's head falls off. Otherwise get used to the Patriots steamrolling everyone for another year or two. The only other teams I think could compare to the Pats are the Steelers and the Colts.
The one thing I don't like about them is that to me, they are the Yankees of football (Sorry Yanks fans). A bunch of hype and then when they get their asses kicked, they'll boohoo about it. (Can you tell I don't like the Yankees? :))
#56fanatic 12-10-2007, 06:59 PM Teams reflect the personality of the coach. The patriots seem smug because they get it from their coach. Colts are classy due to dungy, same with the Skins. Belichek has always seemed to have the personality of chalk board, and an attitude that he is better than anything or anyone around him. The guys on that team follow him and would run through a brick wall for that dude, as would most of our guys. I personally dont like the pats because I am a little po'd at the lack of class in running up scores and the snide comments made to opposing players, however, I do not think that makes Brady a bad guy. He is confident, he is GREAT, probably one of the greatest of all time, I think he just exudes that confidence in life also. The dude is dating the hottest women on the planet, making tons of millions, winning superbowls, the best QB in the league, I am sure if that was anyone of us, we would be perceived the same way.
skinsfan69 12-10-2007, 11:01 PM I think the fact that Brady is a good looking guy, he's all over GQ, the chicks love him, and he's extremely successful and competitive makes him a convenient target as well.
If Brady looked like, let's say Sam Cassell or someone not so good looking, we probably wouldn't direct so much dislike toward him.
I wonder how much is actually "visual perception" (i just made that up) more than anything else?
Dude you hit it right on the head. People are just bitter cause the guy is great looking, he has a super model for a g/f and above all he's great at what he does. I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about the guy. His teammates really seem to like him too.
If he was a Redskin we'd all love the guy.
skinsfan69 12-10-2007, 11:04 PM i used to like them until they beat San Diego last year and acted like assholes to a team with a lot of class
They wouldn't have acted like assholes if Merriman wouldn't act like an asshole in the first place by doing that stupid little dance everytime he gets a sack. Do you see any of the pats players doing that crap? Nope. SD looks like the assholes for bitching and showboating after they got beat.
skinsfan69 12-10-2007, 11:09 PM I used to really, really respect the Pats. They are a well coached and run franchise. They are extremely successful on the field. But, for the very same reasons why I respect people such as Art Monk and Joe Gibbs, I despise guys like Belichick. Some people don't really care about character, but I do (that's not directed at you 12th man).
Let me ask you this tough question. We all love Gibbs. But would you rather have a high character guy who isn't a good coach and has a losing record? Or would you rather have a guy who is terrible with the media, has a terrible personality, but wins?
I care about character. But some of the things Bill B. has been accused of is not a big deal to me.
Lady Brave 12-11-2007, 12:20 AM I don't get where people think Brady is good looking. The dude has a freakishly massive cranium. You could post a billboard on that forehead.
