I don't think we talked about his yet but Mix had a heck of a night against the Bears on special teams. I just wanted to throw some props his way. Overall I thought the special teams did a great job of keeping Hester in check.

Yeah, definitely in the right places. It's interesting to note that the reason why the Giants placed him on the practice squad was because he didn't contribute on special teams.

I kept saying throughout the game, "Don't kick to Hester, don't kick to Hester!" However, I have to give all of the special teams guys props for keeping him in check.

The special team strategy was excellent vs the Bears. When he did get the ball, contain was great.
Anthony Mix chased down Hester from behind. Id like to see this kid get some real reps at WR once he gets some of the playbook down.

Mix and the whole special teams unit played very well. Mix had a great tackle on Hester. Now if we'll just throw him a fade or two we'll be in the playoffs :woot:

Mix has some experience playing w/JC at Auburn too. He didn't light it up in college, but the g-men must've seen some raw potential in him as did Gibbs & co. Let's hope he can become the g-men's K. McCardell; a guy let go who leaves to another team & has a long career, just as we did w/Keenan in 1991.
Mix was awesome on teams thursday night, but the whole team was. Perfect way to kickoff to Hester: give him a bouncing ball which slows down his read & makes him focus on fielding it, then surround him before his first full speed cut. Everyone stayed in their lanes & most importantly, got free of blocks.

I want to see him in some goal line situations, everyone is starting to key on Cooley down there now. I'm really excited about this guy

Both Mix and the entire special teams unit did a great job. Many safeties and linebackers have an extremely hard time getting their hands on Devin Hester and once they get their hands on they can't haul him down. Mix did both. I would still love to see what he can do on offense.

I was In the End-Zone Thursday.... and I saw Mix...I was amazed at how big he appears... What a physical specimen he is...I'd love to see him on a Fade...Tall with a Massive upper body... But he is still streamlined...WOW

For the record. Mad props to whomever got there hands on Anthony Mix.
He's already stepped up and played a significant role on this team, with the little opportunity he's been given.
We've needed a receiver of his size for quite some time.
