I've read that Chad Johnson will be available (and that he's unhappy in Cincy). A malcontent, to be sure, but talk about a big talent. I'd still be inclined against, because character counts.

The Redkins don't have the prototypical big-body like TO, Plaxico, or Moss. I was at the game on Sunday and saw Mix. He's huge! Curious to see if he produces at all. mike340 12-06-2007, 01:30 AM How many times has Moss been open deep and Jason has just missed him? We'd be doing much better if JC could put some air under the ball. The way he throws it, if it's not exactly on target (which his long ball isn't) the receiver can't get to it. bigSkinsfan61 12-06-2007, 01:42 AM I've read that Chad Johnson will be available (and that he's unhappy in Cincy). Sheriff Gonna Getcha 12-06-2007, 01:45 AM i think OOOcho sinco would fit in fine to bad we cannot afford him people in dc would eat him up.. We can't afford him, Cincy would likely ask for a 1st rounder plus something else, and he's not the kind of player I want on my team. That Guy 12-06-2007, 02:44 AM 85 would be a great addition, but with the money and what not, i don't really see it happening, which is too bad. skinsfan69 12-06-2007, 02:52 AM And look what Brady is doing now with quality WRs around him. Moss was great in 2005 but that's ancient history. Since then he's been injured and inconsistent. It's time to find a true #1 WR. You can't count on a guy like Mix who we picked up off a practice squad. None of that works for Brady if his line is not giving him the time to pass. As much as I would like a big time WR, I think we have to start building in the trenches. skinsfan69 12-06-2007, 02:55 AM Just to get away from the game a little bit, and to think about our WR situation for the future. Does anyone else think that McCardell might have one more year and that maybe we should extend Caldwell a couple years? If ARE returns healthy and we cut Lloyd, we'll still have a pretty good stable of receivers. A lot of people are talking about taking a receiver in the draft, but this looks pretty good to me. McCardell has been a great possession receiver and Caldwell has caught almost everything throw his way so far. I would say they are all going to come back. As much as we need a stud wr there are other needs that are more pressing. skinsfan69 12-06-2007, 02:59 AM 85 would be a great addition, but with the money and what not, i don't really see it happening, which is too bad. Maybe our own 85 will come back and play up to his potential. I mean he can't do much if they don't put him in the game and throw him the ball. I know I'm grasping. Pipe dream. Lloyd is as good as gone. |
