I presume that most of the "Joe Must Go" chanters were (a) teens who weren't alive for Gibbs I and/or (b) the ahistorical, "what have you done for me lately" types. I am pissed at Gibbs for the T.O. and the buck stops at his feet, but my strong sense of history and loyalty to the man who MADE this franchise make me want to let the man coach as long as he wants.

It was drunken rage. You know how alcohol makes people moody.

Good teams can put up more than 17 points. Yes, our defense bent but not that much. A good team should be able to put up 20+ points each week.

I agree that the O is terrible and because they cant score it makes every game close. Sure the D didnt bend much but as usual they cant make a stop with the game on the line. This is just not a good team.

Its never one thing that contributes to a loss. Jason Campbell is responsible for poor red zone decision making. The O-line is responsible for letting the Bills D manhandle them. The run D is responsible for us getting gashed on quite a few occasions. Greg's deep zone is responsible for failing to stop teams from getting into FG range. Gibbs time out for making it a chip shot field goal in bad weather. Anyone who could've made a good play, but didn't, is responsible to some degree.

This has been a rough week, and maybe us losing today is tribute enough to Taylor - a tribute that says we couldn't play our best because we couldn't get our minds focused to play well and we couldn't stop them without you playing at safety.

I'm sorry for attacking anyone trying to absolve Gibbs (apologies, Smootsmack) for this week - I know many of us haven't yet recovered from Sean Taylor's loss and this isn't the time to trade attacks with disconsolate fans. Apologies again.

That said, it's not wrong to point to a pattern of coaching ineptitude that has gone on for 4 years. Gibbs is not solely responsible for us losing today, but he did tie a pretty ribbon on the gift wrapped package we handed the Bills. I am today surer than I have ever been that Gibbs is not the answer to turn this team around. I can't, even for a moment, give Gibbs a free pass for another losing season and relate our losing woes to the loss of Sean Taylor. We have to hold people, starting with the Head Coach, accountable.

The cam didnt show who was chanting but most NFL games I go to dont have many teens in attendance. The voices sounded like adult men but the cam didnt show them.

Who cares about Gibbs 1? Thats ancient history. Sports is a what have you done for me lately thing and Gibbs hasnt done squat lately.

I care about Gibbs I. If our first and only three Lombardis under Gibbs mean nothing to you....nevermind. Maybe you're the type of person who has a "what have you done for me lately" attitude, I'm not.

SGG, you can respect what Gibbs did in the past and still admit he's done nothing in four years in DC. Being complacent saying a losing coach can stay as long as he wants simply isn't healthy for a franchise.

I see what you are saying SGG, but honestly that TO by Gibbs could have cost us the season in terms of playoffs. I realize there was alot of other bad things in the game, but many times games go to the wire therefore a coach must be apt to make smart calls at the end.

I don't really know what to say about Gibbs, I love him yet how many passes can I give to him? Perhaps I should let this slide because he brought us 3 SB trophies. But maybe if his style of coaching/critical errors are going to hurt the Skins perhaps he should step down.

I don't know if I am on the "Joe must go" wagon, but I'm closer to it than I ever was. Prior to this I had supported him wholeheartedly this season.

Gibbs II certainly hasn't worked out the way most of us thought it would. But why is it exactly that the Gibbs haters are so quick to dismiss the 2005 season? I've heard people dismiss the 2005 season because we played banged-up teams. But then those very same people dismiss our injuries as irrelevant excuses. So excuses are fine when they are used against us and are unacceptable when used for us? You can say Gibbs II isn't a success, but to say we have done nothing is simply wrong.

I'm sorry that you live in the past. I don't and if that makes me a "what have you done for me lately" guy then I am guilty as charged. I want to win now not relive the glory years from 15+ years ago.

Gibbs 1 was great when it happened but this is 15 years later and Gibbs 1 has no bearing on whats going on now. I'm glad Gibbs won those SB's all those years ago but he's just not doing it now.

I make birdies once in awhile golfing that doesnt make me a consisently good golfer. This team made a birdie in 05 but they are double bogey golfers.
