He doesnt have a lot of support here to put it mildly. Perhaps its becuase my emotions are going a mile a minute this week. That being said after reading and watching everything I could get my hands on this week I think I misjudged Gregg Williams as a coach and a person. I know most here do not want him to succeed Joe Gibbs but I have to admit, from what Ive wathced and read this week, I would be comfortable with his as the head coach.

You think its just the emotions talking?

Gregg Williams has done a phenomenal job this year. Last year? Not so much.

We have some time before we have to replace our current head coach. I would wager that if we had to decide tomorrow, Williams would and should get it.

I've liked GW from day 1. I'd like to see him succeed Gibbs, no question.

You think its just the emotions talking?I disagree that Williams hasn't had fan support here. With the exception of last season, Gregg Williams's defenses have been the teams strength since Gibbs returned to coaching. I look forward to his getting a chance to succeed Gibbs. If nothing else, working with Gibbs has given Williams a chance to see firsthand how Gibbs treats his players, which hopefully has rubbed off.

I agree, seems like every week that goes by he gets more and more humble

Watching GW stare down Moss after fumbling or ripping guys for screwing up made me a fan. I think he needs the patriarch Gibbs (or someone similar a la Jeff Fisher) to be able to be successful as the tough love guy. I'd love to see him succeed Coach Joe (in two years after back to back trophies).

Williams couldn't find a much better guy to learn from in training to be a head coach again. I think he will almost certainly be the next man to lead this team. Hopefully he'll do better than Gibbs' last successor.

GW has always had support But when you have a bad year things turn very quickly, thats sports, people get over it and if he has a good year they will forget about the bad one...I still like the Guy helluva coach I say

This week certainly, everyone in Redskins Park has been through a most humbling experience.

Last year the defense lost a lot of players and this year he simplified the defense
He is the BEST
