No offense, man, but there's already two threads on this.
im glad he put it in a new thread because i got tired of shifting through 6 pages of wild speculation and wouldn't want a break in the case getting shoved to the back...

The Miami Herald is reporting (http://www.miamiherald.com/1246/story/326903.html) that police not only detained 3 men, but are searching for two more for questioning. Apparently, Sean Taylor had a birthday party at his house and at least some of the 5 men were in attendance. The Herald reports that the plan to rob Taylor's house may have been hatched after the birthday party.

Here is a link (http://www.winknews.com/news/local/11969961.html#.) to pictures of the suspects. Apparently, fingerprints linked the suspects to the house. The sad thing is that Taylor's generosity and his siblings' loose lips may have killed him. Taylor reportedly gave money to his siblings, who then gave money to their friends (the suspects) and bragged about how much money was in the home. The suspects then supposedly hatched the plan to rob Taylor.

Please note that the two previous posts report information that has been reported by the press, but has not been confirmed by the police. If true, however, and Sean Taylor's generosity killed him, I am going to be more pissed than ever.

A Miami area tv station is reporting that the shooter has confessed:

Like SGG's posts, nothing has been confirmed by police.

Man, his brother as and sister must feel awful if that's the case. It's interesting though about money being in the home because of these comments from Portis (I think this is from The John Thompson Show)
"What else people don't realize is, how many professional athletes do you know that's gonna sit in the house with money or sit in the house with a lot of jewels? Even if you find some jewels in somebody's house, what you gonna do with them? You can't wear 'em, because most people got nicknames or some big charm that everybody in the world knows whose it is, because it's a nickname of somebody. If you go to try to trade it in what are you gonna get for it? You're still gonna get caught.
"So you go into a house, and most high-profile people, most athletes got credit cards, most athletes don't have anything in the house. They're smart enough not to have anything in the house because [you're not] supposed to have weapons around and you shouldn't have weapons around. So who's gonna have a million dollars in cash and no weapons, you know? You're going into a house, what you're gonna find is maybe $5,000 in jewels. What you want, some TV's? You know, you come knock on the door, I'll get you a TV, it's not that serious, if you don't have anything to watch. I don't even like TV."

So that "large sum of money" was that in the safe? Because I thought nothing was taken the first time.
