I think we see a very complete, through performance from the team.. Tragedy either unifies or destroys and I think this will be a completely unified team.. I believe the silly lapses in concentration, coming out flat, some of the things that frustrate us as fans will disappear for the balance of the year as the guys have something now that truly inspires them to do their best on every single play..

My thought is 21-6 Redskins..

Buffalo's top two RB's are injured, with Lynch and Anthony Thomas both questionable. Jauron has said he is "not overly optimistic" Lynch will play. They are starting a rookie QB who, despite having a 3-1 record as a starter, has thrown for 5 picks (compared to 1 TD). They are 31st in total defense (29th pass, 23rd run), and their starting DE Kelsey is likely out. No one should lose to this team at home.

That being said, our 53 players will have suffered for a week with the loss of a friend, teammate, and co-worker. They aren't sleeping, or focusing, or concentrating, and the emotions that will get them ready to play will be difficult to sustain for 3 hours. Not a prediction, but my hope is:

Redskins 17
Buffalo 6

I think we come out with every swinging soul we got and play this game for Sean and his family. It will be an emotional day, but somehow they will pull it out and find a way to win.

Skins 27
Bills 17

I think we actually win easily, scoring in the 30s. Jason was finally let loose for the Eagles game, and the offense has demonstrated a dramatic turnaround (the 13 points we scored last week is misleading). No doubt the two most significant passes JC threw were the two 4th quarter red zone interceptions, but he has finally been allowed to show some of his potential, and he is welcoming it. And consider that CP might be fired up for this game. Look, some may disagree, but I don't think we've seen a fired-up CP this year. He's talked about last year being a humbling experience, which many have attributed to a more reserved approach than the one we saw in 2005, when he was running like crazy on Sundays and dressing up on Thursdays. Maybe he's simply beginning to take on the seriousness of a veteran, so maybe I'm being unfair. Regardless, he may be taking Sean's death harder than anyone, which might have him focused on Sunday in a way we haven't seen all year. Indeed, the opposite could be true--he may be completely flat given Sean's death. But I'm guessing that if he takes the field, he's going to reach down deep. I don't mean to say that this game will be won on emotion. What I'm saying is that we've now established a passing game, which increases the opportunities for the running game, like it did for Betts in the second half last week. And if CP is playing with additional motivation, we have the table set for a big offensive performance against a team whose defense does not NEARLY measure up to either that of Dallas or Tampa, two teams we moved the ball very well against (the Bills have given up more than 90 points in their last two games).

With regard to the defense, consider how well it played last week on the road against Tampa. Sure, we got to play against a second string quarterback, but it was on the road, the Tampa has a superior offense to the Bills' offense, and the Bills are suffering from injuries anyway.

Bottom line: Redskins 34 Bills 14

what a perfect game to go out and let off all the steam...we've been waiting for this game all week, so have the players. this is a group of tough individuals who have only gotten tougher with the loss of Sean. maybe a tragedy like this will bring out the potential we all know the skins possess, in honor of #21. time to step it up, boys, you know he'll be watching.

JC has a break-out game.

Defense, behind London Fletcher, shows their heart.

Skins win:

27-10.

Joe Gibbs finally gets some respect.
