I always loved Murphy back in the day. He made me want to play safety when I was a kid.

One of the greatest teams ever was the 1983 Redskins. Their greatness is often forgotten because they lost to the Raiders in the Super Bowl.

One of the most amazing stats about that team, about any team ever, was the ridiculous +48 turnover ratio they ended the season with. And the last line of defense for that team was free safety Mark Murphy who led this dominant team and the NFL with 9 interceptions.

And this year, in half a season on a much less impressive team Sean Taylor already had 5 interceptions. Just speaks to how amazing Taylor was.
