hurrykaine 11-27-2007, 11:52 PM Nice move, CP. Put on a show this Sunday!
Saw the Antonio Pierce interview on Comcast a few hours ago. He said any team that plays the skins this week ought to fear them. Especially our defense. I hope AP is right. If the Giants could get charged up and annihilate a$$ the week Mara passed, I think our bunch can do the same, if not better.
EternalEnigma21 11-28-2007, 12:26 AM this situation is alot different than a co-owner dying. not to make light of it, but remember when JCK died? That was a sad time, but this is absolutely tragic and devistating... I almost wish they would just postpone the game or something... I lost a co worker a year ago that I knew only from work, but she was a very nice lady and every time I saw her empty desk I teared up...
how the hell are they gonna go out and play a game this weekend...
twinskinsfan 11-28-2007, 12:28 AM I think it will be something that will help all of us trying to figure this out, it will be nice, for me anyway to see number 21 on Fed Ex field. It will help take us out of reality for a few hours, and let us enjoy the game and enjoy number 21.
henry12portis26 11-28-2007, 12:36 AM what a class act and true friend CP is... hopefully he runs for 300 yds on Sunday ....
RIP Sean Taylor
sancho2613 11-28-2007, 03:23 AM i hope CP can play hard and put up some good numbers the rest of the season for sean (especially if he's wearing #21), even though i'm sure it will be hard for him to concentrate...
dgack 11-28-2007, 03:31 AM Clinton Portis has really shown me something in the last 24 hours. He is an all-time Redskin in my book.
Tragedy has a way of inspiring people in ways that are sometimes impossible to reach otherwise.
Given a choice, obviously every single Redskins fan would choose to go back in time and prevent this from happening to Sean Taylor and his family, but one of the things we've lamented and bickered about over the course of the past few seasons is the team's identity and cohesiveness, and I really do think that this team will become even closer as a result of this tragedy.
I'd like to think Sean's up in heaven, levelling archangels in a pickup football game, smiling that his family is safe and his team is rallying around each other, knowing that he's still providing leadership to the team, just from a lot deeper in the secondary :)

This is totally different from an owner dying, because while the owners died from the complications that come with age, Sean was murdered in his own home.
That said, it will be hell on the Bills on Sunday. They will use this as motivation, they will be fired up, they will be focused on one thing on Sunday, doing their best for Sean Taylor.
Hail to the Redskins! We love you Sean!

When thinking of the team having to go out and play my thoughts go back to that night Farve played after his father passed away. It would be so nice if the skins could honor ST the way Farve did for his father on that night.

Amen brother. I want to go level someone right now in honor of Sean. CP wear the number well true friend...starting to teer up again dammit
calia 11-28-2007, 01:30 PM Perhaps Portis can wear it for 1 game and then it can be retired.
