I think after hearing Clinton's reasons for not wearing 21 I respect him even more than I did when I heard he was going to.
Yeah I liked his rationale for not wearing #21.
Either way, whatever he wanted to do would have been fine with me.

I think in his heart CP wanted to do this. It was a great idea, and it took on a life of its own. In hindsight, I would have kept it under the radar and stretched an warmed up in my regular jersey, and made a quick switch before kickoff. Goodell is way to protective of the shield and uniformity. Best believe that someone from the league office put a bug in his ear and "suggested" that he quell this. I do love his response and intent regardless. Through times of hardship - true friend will always show his worth.
I think that CP may have also been afraid of having a bad game while wearing the #21. I don't think that would happen but if it did CP would feel even worse than he does now. When you honor someone you want to make sure that you do so in a good way and if the Bill's (which again I don't think they would) happen to shut CP down he would have a very hard time with that.
