I am stunned. I stayed up late last night hoping to get an update. I figured from what we heard he would start to make a comeback. Amazing how fragile the human body really is. I can't imagine what his family is going though.

He was the face of the squad since LaVar left. It kinds of sucks being in LA today beause they are not too many Skins fans around, and on the radio they just talk about the UCLA and USC game. RIP #21 you will be missed Hail to the Redskins!!

I am with those who are shocked, speechless and hoping that this is all some crappy dream from which I will awake.

Thank you to all the classy fans from other teams sending their condolences.

RIP Sean.

Well....I'm heading out for the day, guys.

Just wanted to stop in one more time, to this thread, and extend our deepest condolences from all of us at DaBears.com

I was really hoping to meet you all under very different circumstances in a couple of weeks, when Chicago comes to D.C. (Dec. 6th).

As I said earlier....
We may be on opposing sides of the field on Sundays, but we are also, and more importantly...Brethren, connected by a common love of the same sport.
Sean Taylor would have been a great asset to this sport, and he will be very missed by ALL.

We are truly sorry for your pain, and our hearts and prayers go out to Sean's loved ones first and foremost,
and to the great franchise and it's awesome Fan Base, of the WASHINGTON REDSKINS.

Know that your Brethren Football family, at DaBearz.com, wish you to know that we are also there for you.

R.I.P. Sean Taylor

See ya in two weeks, guys.

To An Athlete Dying Young

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.

Today, the road all runners come,
Shoulder-high we bring you home,
And set you at your threshold down,
Townsman of a stiller town.

Smart lad, to slip betimes away
From fields where glory does not stay,
And early though the laurel grows
It withers quicker than the rose.

Eyes the shady night has shut
Cannot see the record cut,
And silence sounds no worse than cheers
After earth has stopped the ears.

Now you will not swell the rout
Of lads that wore their honours out,
Runners whom renown outran
And the name died before the man.

So set, before its echoes fade,
The fleet foot on the sill of shade,
And hold to the low lintel up
The still-defended challenge-cup.

And round that early-laurelled head
Will flock to gaze the strengthless dead,
And find unwithered on its curls
The garland briefer than a girl's.
