This is so shocking and unsettling. Poor, Sean. He seems to get a lot of bad breaks.

I pray he survives and comes out of this a stronger person. To God be the glory of his remarkable recovery. May your protection, healing and comfort be upon Sean and his family. In Jesus' name. Amen.

We love you Sean. Thanks for always playing your heart out for us. Our hearts are with you and your family.

Anyone else think this sounds like a hit? I know I will get flamed for saying it, but it strikes me as awfully co-incendental that the one night he spends at home in Miami is the one night this happens. To me, it sounds like someone found out he was going to be home and struck at it him, either as payback for the earlier incident or some other thing his boys might have been involved in. Just seems like an awfully big conincedence to me.
His Boys? So you know who ST hangs around with and make it sound like he has his own little gang.

I keep hearing from multiple sources, including JLC (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/?hpid=topnews), that the situation is stabilizing. Seems like he's going to make it through this one.

Still, theres absolutely no doubt that you have to shut him down for the year now. Playoff hopes be damned if need be, we should just hope he can one day play for us again. Arterial bleeding is about as serious as an injury can be.

When your famous and you make a lot of money you can be a target. We'll find out, but it is a possibility. I'd say it probably reflects on the individual who would perpetrate such a crime rather than on Taylor, who from everything I've seen in the past few years has really become a mature and upright individual. He had some problems early, as every story on this incident has taken the time to mention, but I was very impressed on the few occasions I heard him speak. He had a great understanding of the game and seemed like a very intelligent person besides. Still, your point has some validity and I'd hope that the Miami-Dade police would have that guy who was involved in the earlier case with the ATVs and the lawsuit in for questioning right now.

Athletes getting robbed in their home has been a very serious issue over the past year or so.

However, and I've only heard this fom one source so I can't confirm this in any way yet, I've heard some rumors that this wasn't a random robbery. Rumor is this was a crazed fan. If I hear more I'll let you know.

All that matters now is that Sean survives for his family's sake. I didn't realize that he had a young child born last year - it makes this sort of thing even more tragic.

Yeah, it's a frightening, disturbing thought but a valid one. Unfortunately, it can be hard to escape the past. Hopefully, Sean leaves South Florida. It is bad news in the Miami area.

Remember how Eddy Curry and Antoine Walker were held at gunpoint and robbed in their home? Taylor is obviously no stranger to guns, and his father is a police cheif in Florida City, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Sean had a gun in the house. Maybe he confronted whoever broke in and was shot in the process. This is TOTAL speculation of course, but how would the Eddy Curry/Antoine Walker situations have turned out if either of those players confronted their prowlers with a weapon?

If he was indeed shot in the femoral artery is it true to keep him alive they may need to amputate his leg?
No, only if the loss of blood to his leg was long enough. Not sure what they call this maybe gangreen (speeling) sets in they could have to amputate his leg but that could take several days to tell if that would or could be the case. They had a doc on the radio about this injury.
