Yeah... they're saying they "hope he was just an innocent victim in all of this" and that it "doesn't have anything to do with his past". He was in his home with his family in the middle of the night! Not out at some strip club. Fuck you!\

Just amazing.. Really, AMAZING.. If and he WILL pulls out and stay alive.. We definitely gotta show him that we didn't listen to media..

MSNBC is staying with the ST story. Looks like the Redskins are having a press conference soon.

Acoording to news reports all over the web, he was in Florida to get another opinion on his knee injury.
Unfortunately, it's just rumor to this point, and while this would certainly justify his being in Miami, we aren't really sure.

Getting shot in the groin, near the femoral canal, where the nerve, artery, and vein run, is potentially the worse location to get shot in the leg. One can easily bleed out and die from this sort of injury. From the information I have at this point, as a doctor, I would say his situation is dire. Jackson Memorial is a very good center down there with a very competent surgery department. All we can do is hope he makes it through surgery at this point...

Yeah, the media need to stop their speculation and just report the facts.

Darn, it would be nice to get a real news update, the waiting is painful.

WE ARE PRAYING FOR YA BIG MAN IN THE MIDDLE!

ST was on the inactive list as of Saturday and was not going to be traveling with the team so why can't he go home for a couple of days? Especially over a Holiday weekend. It was probably someone who had watched the house and didn't expect anyone to be there.

Hopefully better news on this update from RI:

"UPDATE:
Just spoke with a friend of the family who said that Sean lost a substantial amount of blod and the bullet traveled near the femoral artery, which is located in the thigh. Sean's father, Pedro, the chief of police in Florida City, Florida, is with him at the hospital, according to the source. They believe the situation is stabalizing, and are obviously hoping for the best."

im suprised he has made it this long already, the fomoral artierie is one of the worst places to get hit. but its good hes in surgery for it, usually you just bleed out in minutes. The fact he made it to a hospital is a great sign.
