That last pass is evidence of why this team need a wide out who is taller than 6 feet. If you have a prototype running the fade then the throw can be 8 feet in the air and Kelly can't touch it, instead you run the fade to Santana Moss and it's easy to pick because it has to be much lower. I'm not taking the owness off of Campbell, I don't know about making the throw, but if it were a big target, that's a totally different situation.

i just saw warner throw a TD to a leaping Fitzgerald, amazing....
JC simply didn't need to make that throw, he forced the issue and had plenty of time on the clock.

I agree, but if it weren't Santana Moss, it would have been a very different story.

Not having a big WR is a big factor in this team's continual red zone failings.

More important than size is we need some more speed at the skill positions. Although Moss is hurt, neither Randle El or Portis is a gamebreaker anymore. Our offense needs some kids that can score quickly--something never do. Gamebreakers=potential easy scores--which will help our O and our D.
Why not a 3rd/4th receiver with some jets in the 2nd-4th rounds--who can be our returner as well...

I agree with this thread 100%. Big targets, especially leapers, are SO helpful in the red zone. It gives your offense one more weapon the defense has to worry about.
A big, fast WR is probably on the tip-top of my wishlist right now. We need to be thinking that way this offseason.

A 3rd and 4th for Randy Moss instead of Lloyd, just imagine......
