Way too early to be even having this conversation. He's a rookie, and he's been banged up with a back problem. Let's revisit this in 2-3 years.

Those 3 TDs he's gotten are more than all of the Redskin WRs for this year. Are all of them "a bust"?

Why do people such as yourself make comments without knowing it as fact?

Thrash 2 tds
Moss 1 td
McCardell 1 td

That's 4 tds total.

That being said, I am not comparing him to anyone. I probably should have used the word "overhyped" cause many, including a ton of people here thought he would put up Jerry Rice type numbers THIS YEAR. I have never seen a more overhyped WR come out of college.

jsarno:

Using your numbers which must necessarily be perfectly researched, Calvin Johnson has 3 TDs. No Redskin WR has more than 2 TDs.

So I ask again: Are all of the Redskins WRs busts? Or are you one who believes that all of them are brilliant and transcendant players? Here's the right answer: The Redskins' WRs are a mediocre bunch; if they were all making mediocre money and taking up mediocre cap space, they'd be adequate. But they are clogging up the cap room when you compare their cap space to their production.

Calvin Johnson would replace any and all of the WRs on the Redskins team if the Skins could sign him this afternoon - - which they can't.

Is Calvin Johnson a bust? Not based on what he's done so far.

Is Calvin Johnson a perennial all-Pro player? Not based on what he's done so far.
