What about Chris Collinsworth? He was decent...I'm talking about Gator busts from the last decade. If you want to go back as far as Collinsworth, then we can add Ricky Nattiel to the bust ledger.

With a name like Tony Mix how can you not be a DJ?

Thanks Beemer - there are so many Gator WR busts, it's impossible to keep track of them all!!!

Thanks for the history fellas. I was wondering why Caldwell didn't get on the field. In hindsight, it was probably good Gibbs/Saunders kept giving Moss opp after opp. Hopefully our playmaker at WR is on track for the next 6 games. HUGE DIFFERENCE WEEK TO WEEK! Just look how much more potent our air game was Sunday.

Even if this Mix kid just provides another big target in redzone/goal line, or even just a big distraction in those situations, he's worth it.

I'm a little suspicious.

Excellent size, good speed, but he's on a practice squad. What gives?

Something obviously lacks with this guy. Looks like the physical attributes are there - wonder if it's something that can be coached? Bad hands? Bad route running? Dumb as a brick?

Something's up. It's nice to see a big WR dressed in B&G though.

Ok, now we have 6 receivers on the roster, is this a sign that Saunders will open the book more and try 4 Wideouts? Just a thought.

Maybe it's a sign that three of them have been battling what appear to be chronic injuries in recent weeks, and the other three are hardly starting material.

Don't be surprised by Caldwell's lack of productivity. Show me a Florida WR that has had any success outside of Darrell Jackson. Here are a few Gator products that were 1st or 2nd round busts:

Reche Caldwell
Travis Taylor
Jabar Gafney
Jacquez Green
Taylor Jacobs
Chad Jackson

I may be missing others

Taylor Jacobs a bust?! Have you gone mad?!?!

I keed, I keed...

I think down the stretch they are going to loosen the reigns on Campbell. It was very impressive what he did against Dallas with a patchwork offensive line, and I think the coaching staff is starting to gain more and more confidence in him.

So they are probably going to let him pass the ball more and more.

And what better way to give a young talented QB confidence then to present him a VERY big target with which to throw to.

Sounds to me like they are trying to program Campbell for success.

Not often that I agree with stjack, but this is no sandtrap. We do have a patchwork O-line, no doubt.

Here's the link to the Giants board about them letting him go, some of them are pissed. I love it, New York Giants Message Boards - Another good player gone... (http://boards.giants.com/forums/1/537610/ShowThread.aspx)

Big thing on the college scout was work ethic--if he busts his tail here (and with JC riding him, he ought to), he could be good. The key is can he pick up the Hback position--that would be huge. Plus, he's gotta play teams.

Certainly can't hurt.
