I am fairly sure it was not a int but, it did let out some the wind in our sail.
The INT that wasn'tmredskins 11-19-2007, 09:25 PM I am fairly sure it was not a int but, it did let out some the wind in our sail. mheisig 11-19-2007, 09:32 PM What did you guys think of the call to overturn the INT by McIntosh, which regardless was a great read and reaction by him. I'm still not convinced there was indisputable visual evidence to overturn that call. I agree - wasn't "indisputable" in my book. It looked to me like Rocky had the ball wedged between his thigh and his forearm. I didn't see any evidence of the ball wobbling as he hit the ground - maybe it did, but the video didn't show it. What would be real nice is if someone could get a slow-mo replay of this for us... BleedBurgundy 11-19-2007, 09:51 PM I remember watching the draft all drunk with some friends when they choose Campbell. I kept saying, guys, they aren't crazy, they are taking Mark Clayton. Then he went a few picks earlier. When they took Campbell the room was silent for 5 minutes, that quiet finally being broken by the sound of my friend throwing up on his Ramsey jersey. I was pissed about Rocky too, but he's just getting better and better. Just goes to show if you choose guys with the right character, hard-workers committed to improving their craft, it will work out ok. Say what you want about Gibbs, but he's always understood that. Nice post. It's never mentioned, but you never hear any of our guys on the police blotter. And that's in the Baltimore-Washington area, not freakin' Green Bay, Wisconsin. That does say alot about Gibbs as an evaluator of people, not just players. This makes me think that Joe Gibbs would have probably been an even better college coach than a pro one. Not to say that he doesn't have all of the skills and attributes necessary for the NFL, but his leadership and moral code would've made him a great teacher for young people. skinsguy 11-19-2007, 09:53 PM As much as it sucked to see the call over turned and as much as it turned out to be a game changer, the review actually was correct. It was close though. SouperMeister 11-19-2007, 09:59 PM One thing I've come to realize as a Skins fan, we cannot depend on the refs to save us. The Skins just have to make more plays and take the refs out of the equation. GMScud 11-19-2007, 10:05 PM That play was a perfect example of why the football gods are against us. We just simply don't have plays like that go our way. No one outside of skins fans wanted to see us win. Fox/ESPN make the Cowboys out to be a feel good story, and Tony Romo is this year's media darling. It was a Cowboy's call, and a questionable reversal. GMScud 11-19-2007, 10:07 PM Nice post. That's an excellent point about Gibbs as a college coach. I've said that over and over again, and I feel like it's fallen on deaf ears. Of course with 3 Super Bowl rings and a bust in Canton no one will argue he made the wrong choice in the NFL, but I always thought he would be fantastic in college. DieHardSkinsFan777 11-19-2007, 11:50 PM I don't believe they had enough to over turn the call that was made on the field. Thats from we watchin the play countless times. But I certainly don't have all the angles and high end cameras they have to review a play. IMO I think they got it wrong by overturning the call that was made on the field. DynamiteRave 11-20-2007, 02:14 AM I think the refs gave Dallas seriously home field advantage. And what was that busted ass illegal touching call on Dallas instead of the Pass interference? Dude was all over his back, I thought it was serious pass interference. whummel 11-20-2007, 08:06 AM thats ok guys we will get them on our tuff they wont beat us in our house we will run the score on them and really embassarrest them |
