A Prayer to the Football Gods:

Oh mighty football gods, we are 30 minutes away from the Skins-Cowboys game, so please hear my prayer. I have a bet with Smootsmack that I desperately want to lose. I know we are without Sean Taylor, I know half our line is gone, and I know we don't have a WR healthy enough to start for a halfway decent college team. That being said football gods, we are talking about the Cowboys, the epitomy of evil. If we can't win this game, Im asking you, no Im begging you, please don't let this be a Cowboy asspound. Please let us be competitive if we cannot win, so that at least we can hold our head up high. Please let Gibbs actually have decent clock management and please make GW adjust his defense to what is happening in the game. If they cannot win, please let them play respectively so those demons known as Cowboy fans cannot take quite as much glee. This is my prayer football gods, and I will now let fate take its course. Amen.

The game is not 30 minutes away. It starts at 4:15 EST!

It will be a very tough game indeed. The Redskins won in Texas Stadium 2 years ago when the redskins came back and won 14-13. Before that, the Redskins haven't won in Texas Stadium for over a decade. We lost last season in Texas Stadium. All we can do is hope that the Redskins have an impressive game to pull it off. I think we got the players that can make big impacts in the game.

Quarterback: Jason Campbell (showed his true colors last week. very impressive with no huddle)

Running Back: Clinton Portis (rushed for over 100 yards in 2 games. The Cowboys haven't let anyone rush 100 yards on them this season. This is a chance to prove himself over a good defense)

Receivers (Chris Cooley is a good 3rd down key player. We need to put the ball in his hands when we have the chance. Santana Moss is back and you know what he does when he plays against the Cowboys. Also, Randel El is a decent receiver that catches the ball in the most critical situations. Caldwell is a former Patriot that had the most receptions with the Patriots last season, and I'm sure he is going to be good today. Last but not least, we have McCardell that scored a nice touchdown last week against the Eagles)

I think it will be a good game. I don't expect it to be a blow out. The score should be in the 20s.... Like 27-24 or something.

Shouldn't you have prayed for a win and not to barely lose

Id love a win, but if they cannot win Im merely asking for respect. Ive had too many beers, I thought kickoff was at 1:00. The waiting is the hardest part.

I love the Lord but as far as I know He doesn't pick sides. Trust me I was in Church a while ago and would have asked Him while at His house. lol
I will pray for safety of all the players and some wisdom for our coaches.

Hail Skins

Just thought I'd point out his "prayer" was to the "football gods", not God Himself.

I hear ya, and totally agree which is why this little prayer was to the football gods. I really don't think God cares with all the crap going on in the world today.
