I do not know if they work or not but you can buy electronic devices that keep animals away for your machine as you traverse your..........Deer choked, highways and biways. Might be worth researching. I wonder what it says?? "Go ahead bambi, make my day"

They will probably replace the doors with either new or from a car which was smashed in on the drivers side. The biggest area of concern will be the rear 1/4 which they will either pop out the dent then bondo smooth or they will cut it out and replace. I would think that they would pop it out and bondo. Because its a new car they should have no problems matching the paint. Just because its a Honda Dealer does not always mean they have the best painters or body guys. In my area we have several mom and pop body shops which do excellent work which I would not hesitate to take my car to. You may want to ask State Farm about deminished value. This is what they give over the repair for the deminished value of your car because it was in a wreck. Not sure if this would qualify but it does not hurt to ask.
Well, the only body shop I would have considered taking it to closed down a few years ago. Everyone I've known who's dealt with this Honda dealership has given them great reviews.

I just got back from taking the car in. The cost of the repairs... drum roll please... is $5056. Cha Ching! They said it won't be ready until Dec. 5th. That means 3 weeks of driving my husband's crappy truck. Sigh...

they also may put "used" parts on your machine (if they are available) as they are cheaper. I have in the past demanded that only New parts be used on my vehicle. I do not know if that is an option for you, but...........

I don't think they are many used parts for that car considering it is a new model for honda and they have really only been on the road since Summer early fall.

In most states they can put used parts on if its from the same year or newer car. Its not really a big deal because the fenders they are replacing were used. They do not use used parts if it is a wear & tear type item like a stearing arm.

WOW thats a bunch of money. Did they say how they would repair the rear 1/4 pannel?

The work order says nearly everything will be replaced. There are only a couple of things that indicate "repair" and those are small cosmetic items around the bumpers and cleaning the glass inside the interior.

It is common place, to replace damaged parts "viewed" as non-repairable with less damaged, used parts that are salvageable. What you may get are body parts that have signifigant bondo repair, and potential problems with undercoating issues.
