SmootSmack 11-13-2007, 11:22 PM I would agree, a little balance is good. The problem is, if I started a "I hate the Kool Aid Drinkers" thread, it would last as long as a Chuck Woolery break: 2 minutes, and 2 seconds. It would then be locked, and I could be taking a vacation.
You should read the Warpath Myth vs Reality thread, and take note of some of the threads and posts we have allowed here.
skinsfan_nn 11-13-2007, 11:22 PM Who Needs Enemies? That's what I want to know. I don't post much but I read daily, as well as during every game. Thank God for free speech and all but personally I get sick of reading "There Goes the Season" after every fumble and "...Needs to step down" after every loss.
I commented on this in the game thread Sunday and someone said that is what fans do.
I have been around since George Allen an the over the hill gang and have been a fan the whole time. When the games aren't televised in my area I watch the stupid lines on NFL.com I don't miss a game and I love the skins. traveling big distances to take my son to two games this year Cardinals at home (10/21) and Giants in NY (12/16) I consider myself a diehard fan.
That being said...I no nothing about how to coach an NFL team and even less about playing at that level. Its easy to second guess and lay blame but none of us are on the payroll...becuase we are not quailfied....
I am just saying they need our support not what goes on much of the time on many of these threads.
my 2 cents
Well done, and I totally agree. I also travel long distance to go to EVERY home game.
I'm more times than not floored at the threads and posts on this REDSKIN FAN forum website.
NICE THREAD!
Glad to see all of the agreement. I posted and went to bed last night and had no Idea what I would get up to. as far as the comment about no negativity by paulskinsfan. I am not saying no negativity I am saying that the season is not over with every bad play or turnover and some one does not need to be fired after every loss. The skins are not going to run the table any time in the near future so losses are going to happen. I just watched sunday's game on NFL rewind and in my uneducated opinion we were flat outplayed. At 40 I have seen the skins snatch defeat from the jaws of victory more times than I care to remember. No one should step down, no one should be fired, they should come together and get ready for dallas.

If that was true why do we have all thes negative threads that have over 100 post?

Go ahead and start it up and see what happens.
You might be disappointed to still be here tomorrow.
I would agree, a little balance is good.
Hell yeah some balance would be nice and I think that's what people have a problem with. After a loss the board goes insane with a ridiculous amount of new threads and posts. After a win you can practically hear crickets around here.
killromo 11-14-2007, 11:46 AM Well Said...Realism does need to be added, but none of us are qualified to be on the payroll. Unless JG, GW, or ASS (Al Saunders) are on here . Do any of these guys or any players, or even Dan Snyder come on here? I'm pretty sure we are all Skins fans through and through. We've been shitty for how long now? and we are all still true to our team, so lets stop the negativity and lift up our team and city. Lets forget that bullshit Eagles game and Beat the motherf*king cowboys, or at least end romo's season if we're going to lose

Lets forget that bullshit Eagles game and Beat the motherf*king cowboys, or at least end romo's season if we're going to loseI consider myself a realist, but definitely not a hater. We all look at well run organizations like New England and long for that sort of proficiency. As fans, we should be disappointed in the Gibbs 2.0 era that held such promise. With the exception of the brief 6 game run at the end of 2005, the Skins have underachieved significantly since Gibbs returned. Some of that is on the players, some of that is on the front office, and some of that is on coaching. We realists will cheer as loudly as anyone here if the team suddenly gets it right. Last offseason, the FO showed restraint during free agency, and we're actually showing signs that we would like to save draft picks to build depth through the draft. We have a number of solid young players, and the optimist in me says the future looks bright. Bottom line, being critical of underachievment doesn't make me or you a bad fan.
PFunk26 11-15-2007, 12:25 AM To tell you the truth in all honesty I'd rather not be like the patriots, heck I have no reason to hate them but I do, so if that was my favorite team I'm be in quite a pickle, I love the drama every sunday, I love the nail-biter endings that come with our games, I love feeling my heart race as Suisham lines up for a game winner, or that "we have one more shot" feeling as Campbell hits the line with a chance for a game winning drive. Maybe we come out on the losing end more then I'd like but it's a heck of a rush getting there. Teams like Indy and New England tend to put me asleep when they play. It just always seems like the same stuff. I'm just gonna say dang it we are over .500 right now and thats pretty darn good for me. Eventually, as few of those little things will swing our way, and we'll get the best rush of all...you know the one like Santana hauling in bombs from Brunell to beat the Cowboys! Anyways thats my gibberish for all the haters out there. Just remember we could be Dolphins fans how fun would that be right now...
