JWsleep 11-12-2007, 03:56 PM From JLC's blog:
Sean Taylor was barely moving around with his right leg pretty much immobiler and stiff as a board. It's a knee sprain and we'll get more info later in the day, but Sean told some teammates it doesn't look as good as hoped and seems like he will miss at least a few weeks. But again, we'll get the official word later.
Oy, vey is meir. (Oh, woe is me, as my grandfather used to say. Sometimes Yiddish is the only way to express my feelings about the skins.)

GTripp0012 11-12-2007, 03:59 PM Yay for injures!
I haven't heard anything about Randy Thomas lately. It's possible we could get all these guys back at once, and still be in it.
Just another piece of adversity to deal with.
chrisl4064 11-12-2007, 04:03 PM i have a sprain right now in my thigh, i cant push off to run or swim, its ben a month already and im told it will be another month before im running. if he has a knee sprain hes likely done for the year, sprains are always terrible news.
and by "done for the year" im assuming we do not make the playoffs. and by not making the playoffs im assuming its because hes not playing......
Cowell 11-12-2007, 04:05 PM This is just what we needed.
Sheriff Gonna Getcha 11-12-2007, 04:06 PM So let me get this straight. On defense, Taylor, Washington, Rogers, Smoot, Griffin, and McIntosh have all been dealing with injuries. On offense, Jansen, Thomas, Thrash, Moss, and ARE are dealing with injuries. That's 11 players. Do we have a training staff?
I know people hate using injuries as a crutch (hardy-har-har), but let's get real. Anyone who things that Pierson will replace Taylor, Torrence will replace Rogers, Godfrey will replace Washington, Fabini will replace Thomas, Wade will replace Jansen, McCardell will replace Moss, etc. and the team will not miss a beat is smoking serious crack. Elite teams can cope with those injuries, but elite we are not.
SmootSmack 11-12-2007, 04:12 PM That would really really hurt (no pun intended) the team if he's out. Time to bring back Andre Lott!
On a related note, whither Omar Stoutmire? On another related note, why is Macklin always inactive? On yet another related note, while Taylor is out do you think maybe we could lock him up for another 10 years or so?
GhettoDogAllStars 11-12-2007, 04:16 PM Andre Johnson sprained his knee in week 2, and he still isn't back. :(
TheMalcolmConnection 11-12-2007, 04:17 PM If there's any game that he should rest in, it's this one.
Again, it's still any given Sunday and watching TO with that shitty grin on his face after a TD is going to piss me off. Losing Taylor is huge. Maybe we at least get Marcus Washington back.
If I'm the Skins, I go into this laying it all on the table on defense. Blitz Romo ALL day long.

I agree. Make them beat the blitz. If we don't do that, they'll score anyways, so where's the harm?

Even elite teams can't cope with losing basically one side of your team (11 players). In the Redskins case injuries are an excuse, especially when all those are "impact" players. Any team that loses impact players will hurt bad, look at the colts last night, 3 players lost in that game, plus no Marvin Harrison, etc. That's why I say don't quit on coach Gibbs.
