Why not compare him to good QBs like Brady, Ben Roethlisberger..etc.
Good QBs, IMO at least, will take advantage of mistakes and mis-reads of the other team's D. JC seems to miss some wide open receivers or throw it where the receiver has a slim chance of catching it. Yes, he doesn't throw it into tight coverage, and that is very much evident in his INT numbers. Sometimes in every game, though, you have to take chances. You can't just play it safe all the time and throw passes where either your guy will get it or no one will.

it seems to be forgotten, Campbell has only played 1 full season. The reads he seems miss right now come with time. No one in their 1st full season is like a seasoned vet reading all the coverages and mistakes. Campbell to me is a very good young QB. He is doing what is being asked of him. He plays in a very conservative offense and has limited shots at making things happen down the field. He has shown when given the opportunities to throw more than usual he is more than capable of making plays. Problem is Joe doesn't want him throwing the ball 30 to 35 times a game. he looked to be in good rhythm against Philly for the most part of the game, especially when they spread it out.
Another thing to concider is we dont have that 6'2'' + receiver to go up and get the ball for Jason to throw one or two of those types of passes per game. Teams like NE, Dallas have those big receivers that can out jump the DB's. Nothing against Moss, but he's as tall as most of the DB's and I personally wouldn't be comfortable with those toss up passes. Joe showed more confidence in him this week as far as throwing the ball more, and calling his own plays in hurry up, that hopefully we can build on that week to week. We have the potential of putting some points up on the board, if Jason is allowed to play the QB position.

Just like the Eagles was fired up after losing against the Cowboys last week. They came in Redskins stadium and won.

The Redskins lost against the Eagles at home and they are fired up. The Redskins will win at Texas Stadium!

What sense does it make to compare someone with 16 career starts to someone like Brady who's an 8 year veteran??I think you didn't get what I was trying to say. I meant compare him to Brady or Roethlisberger(sp) after 16 games into their careers.

See my response.

Because that's unrealistic. Every year, there are about 10 new starters for teams around the league. Out of those 10, maybe one emerges as an instant success. Last year it was Romo, this year it appears to be Anderson. I have don't care that Campbell didn't immediately light the world on fire. He's showing tremendous potiential and I think he'll be able to put up Roethlisberger or Palmer type numbers very soon.

Honestly, unless the Cowboys put up Patriot-like numbers on offense (which somehow I think they will ) playing from behind seems to be the best thing for the Redskins.

Because if we're leading we basically start running the ball every down and attempt to run out with clock with 30 minutes left in the second half.

It's very exciting to watch, you'll see...

I think you didn't get what I was trying to say. I meant compare him to Brady or Roethlisberger(sp) after 16 games into their careers. That's an unfair comparison. Brady and Roethlisberger both played for great teams. Campbell compares quite favorably to young QBs of teams stuck in the mediocre middle of the NFL. I've seen enough to feel that Campbell will be a star in this league.
